Just a quick overview of the High Camp Trailer... our frames feature a Rockwell American 2,500 lb. torsion axle with electric brakes. The frame is made from 2”x 2” square steel tubing and fully welded. The trailer has a 7-pin wiring harness and breakaway switch wired to the trailer's onboard deep cycle battery.
The body is constructed of high-quality 3/4" birch plywood and covered in mill-finish aluminum skin. Fenders are steel with professional powder coating finish to match the aluminum skin. The queen-size mattress is a 4” thick, high-quality firm foam mattress with quilted, water-resistant cover that is very comfortable.
The cabin (sleeping area) has a micro-adjustable Fantastic roof vent/fan that has an automatic rain-sensing closure mechanism. Lighting in the cabin comes from 2 brushed nickel LED berth lights which swivel and tilt. Storage in the cabin includes a significant storage area towards the front that can hold several duffel bags of clothing or other items. The headboard also features two open cubbies for stowing your glasses, book, keys, wallet, etc... at night within easy reach. The small cabinets up top are great for clothing to keep at hand, books, and toiletries. There is even a fold-up/down stainless steel water bottle holder mounted on each side of the headboard (no more fumbling at night for some water).
There is an entry door on each side of the trailer, of course, with fully screened slider windows and locking door latches. The doors are some of the largest on the market at 36" tall and 32" wide, making getting in and out of the trailer much easier. Our doors have custom wood interior panels that match the rest of the birch interior, as well as two weather seals to keep the elements out.
The galley (cooking area) is contained under a weather-stripped, locking hatch with gas lift-assist struts that hold the hatch open. The slide-out cooktop is permanently plumbed to the 11lb. propane tank located on the tongue (mounted with a custom stainless steel tank mount) and features 3 strong burners for serious camp cooking. We have designed a custom wood cover for the cooktop to provide for additional food prep/counter space when the stove is not in use. A latching cabinet above the cooktop holds pans and plates/bowls, while a latching cabinet to the right of the cooler holds food or larger items. The stainless steel Coleman cooler is also slide-mounted to come to you for easy access and is incredibly efficient and insulated. Under-counter storage in the galley includes a large single empty space (great for storing a folding table, water containers, wheel chocks/leveling pads, etc...) Also housed in the galley in its own under-counter storage cubby is the 100 amp-hour deep cycle battery and 30amp 120v-12v power converter for charging the onboard battery and running trailer appliances when AC power is available.
