I ran across the Basecamp and was hoping that Airstream had made more of a Teardrop back in the day. I have seen some one of's made by manufactures. So I had a little bit of hope.
I got a little history of this trailer from the seller when I requested to see the manufacture's plate: " Hello, and thank you for your interest. It was a hand made trailer made in 1942 by a man who worked in an aircraft plant in Washington State. This trailer was built using all of the supples and equipment at the plant. I have original photos of him and his wife camping with the trailer as well as all of their camping gear. Best regards."
So basically it's a trailer made out of ripped off materials from Boeing during WWII with the seller trying to drive up the prices. Yuck, I want no part of that.
