It's a "Tourette", I have a '46 and really like the design.

The ebay model has been painted (exterior), but it could be stripped and the aluminum polished. It needs restoration, but it's certainly a classic worth the time and money.

I was thinking about it, just to get the kids and I in one this summer, instead of waiting one more year, but that no title thing has got me spooked...

Welp... I bid on it, but I doubt that I'll be the winning bidder...
If I do win the bid, I'll let everyone know how much trouble it was to get through the problem of no title...

hey dean good luck on the eBay bid. I bought mine from eBay, with no title as it was a homebuilt. he gave me 2 copies of the eBay page, signed over to me as the new owner, and DMV took it with no problem. they assigned a VIN, no probs. don't know how it would work on this one, tho.
A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour!

I think I remember remember reading about that auction somewhere here. Someone was saying buyer beware... Sounds like it was pretty painless though...
With travel expenses to go get it, I was willing to go 700, it went for 810.
Oh well... I pick up my steel for the frame tomorrow afternoon.
