I'm too far from this one and it looks a bit beat-up but somebody may get a deal here. Current bid $565.00, reserve not met yet.

(Shameless Plug) We are now offering a restoration service for Modernistics. Total frame off restoration including new flooring, stabilizing frame and axle, professional cleaning and undercoating, like new skin repairs, adding vents, wiring, solar, electronics, adding second door, etc. (End of Shameless Plug) 8)

I am keeping an eye on this one. It is in Minden, Nevada not Nebraska.

Is it a Modernistic or a Cub? What do you make of the decal remains. That teal paint on the interior is similar to what was in ours, it also had been painted beige inside, which I think was over the teal. Could that have been factory paint, or just a popular color at the time. Ours has the remains of a decal or stencil that says Modernistic Camper that I'm having reproduced. Do you know of any repro decals available? Bob

Looks like a Cub to me. The decal, no cabinets, bare galley all seem to indicate Cub. I can't tell if it ever had any fenders.

The left side shows evidence of having a fender ... can't really tell on the right (that rack thingee could be covering a lot up ...). Can't see well enough behind that left wheel to see which fender they might have been, though. Might not be able to really tell until you've actually got it in hand, and maybe not even then ... ...

Good Luck, you guys ... don't let it get too crazy though, huh ... ;) ... ... ... ...!

I see it went for around $1100.00, that seems a little crazy to me, especially after restoring one. Or maybe we just got a real deal at $500? Bob

Yeah, went for $1136 but it wasn't me, although I did put in a bid. I thought it would go for $800 to $1000. Does anyone know who ended up with it?

Dean,

OK, OK.......I couldn't resist bidding on this at the last minute but my Internet connection locked up and the auction timed out on me. I was willing to go as high as $1200.00 but am sort of glad that "providence" interveined :worship: before I was forced to drive to Nevada and add yet another project to the list :?

And I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling kids and their dog :x

I just knew you were gonna bid on it...
Tell yaa what though... If anyone came to me and asked if I knew where they could find a Modernistic, I'd tell 'em about your reproduction model... It has got to be the best buy out there, besides having the beautiful lines.
Your method of construction is sound and has been well thought out.
