Wanted: 5x10 or 5x8 TD - Found

Postby Dagny » Mon Apr 27, 2009 5:22 pm

*** Found 2006 Little Guy Silver Shadow **** It came home today.

I was waiting to wire money on a TD in Minnesota and someone else swiped it. I really did cry and scared my 5yr old. Well, maybe I yelled at my computer a lot.

It was a new Lil' Traveler Spirit 5x8. I really need 5' to fit a queen bed in.

Anyone thinking of selling their TD before mid-May? Willing to travel approximately 500 miles from St. Louis to pick up. Classic styling rather than sporty. I'm a simple girl.

Thank you,
Dagny

Dagny, have I got a deal for you to think over. I see you are thinking about going to the MOG in a couple of weeks. I have a Jim Dandy for sale and two of my friends are going to bring it to the gathering and use it for the weekend. Here's some pics, PM me if you are interested.........

Hey

Jeff,

I see the galley area is in the front; but what is underneath the opening for the airconditioner? Is that all storage? How is it accessed? Also, what is the approxiamate size? Thanks.

Pete Wilson

P.S. What is the name of the on you have in your album on Pg. 15-17 that has the single back door acess? Size? I like the design. Thanks.
Why hasn't anyone found a dead bigfoot? When was the last time you found a dead deer, bear, coyote, fox, squirrel, etc. that died in the woods.........Hmmm.

I like the roof skin you have on the one Pete is talking about -- is there a thread that talks about what that is? How did it work out for you? Looks like an interesting idea.

Yes, that is one big storage area and is accessed by two top lids on either side of the pass through window.

The dimensions are 5X8 and weighs about 625 lbs.

IP, here's the thread http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=7752&highlight=diamond . It worked really great until I left it outside while I built the Jim Dandy. The Sun and weather really did a number on it and now it looks the very top is brown, almost like it's been set on fire. I would only recomend it if you can store the camper when not in use. Other than that, it is awesome to work with and looks like a million buck. I can't tell you how many people asked how I got it bent into such a nice curve, thinking it was real metal.........

I have 1/4" closed cel foam underneath of it so it has a spongy feel to it. I always got a roar when people touched it and the material gave in, they always pulled their hand back with a quickness!!!!!!

Dagny,

Jeff's a really competent trailer builder that puts a lot of thought into the details of his builds. The trailer above is an excellent example of a valued classic. I don't think you could go wrong with this one, from knowing Jeff here on the forum for a several years I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him.

PS - I have no financial interest in this transaction, nor am I a relative by marriage or anything else.
