it was over 900.00 dollars the air and heat was 600.00 dollars that 1,500
by it self. one year and a half building it and 2000 is to dam cheep if any one wants this tear drop they will have to pay me 3,500 or it will sit in my garage . I enjoy looking at it and thinking all I went through building it. so if ther are any takers well call me a call.
phone 904-446-0118 cell Now does thiis make you happy .
Thanks Bill

Was this directed at me? If it is, I'm sorry, Bill -- I didn't mean to get you all riled up or insult you or your tear in any way.

I do appreciate the extra information, but considering the price just went back up $1,500 and the tear would still need to be modified for me to sleep straight in it, I think I'll have to pass.

It *IS* a good price for your tear ($3,500), and you're correct that $2,000 was quite a deal. I just wish I would've known it was 5-wide to begin with -- it probably would've been sold and stayed sold a while ago. I just didn't see any dimensions anywhere in this thread, so I assumed it was the standard 4x8, which wouldn't work for me. I would've been negatively surprised by the short length (of the cabin), but positively surprised on the width!

Good luck with your sale, and I hope there's no hard feelings between us. We live to near each other for that!

Since this information is out I am posting the url so others can see that an easy fix has been suggested. There are others that will work really well and keep the equipment.

What the heck is going on here?

Postby InternetPilot » Thu May 28, 2009 8:10 am

I don't know who this is, but I really don't appreciate it. For the record, this person is NOT me (note the spelling of the username and how new the username is, as well as this is the one and only post from this user). Not sure what's going on, but I don't find it humorous at all that an obviously fake account so similar to my own is being used for a blatant and obvious "dig" or insult toward Bill's construction of this tear.

If you want to criticize Bill's construction of this tear, why not be brave enough to use your REAL forum account or better yet, why not just PM him and make this a private debate? Instead you have publicly insulted Bill, and at my expense. Really not appreciated.

By the way, I hope you realize the moderators of this forum can likely see an IP# associated with every post. In other words, they will be able to see who actually created this account and posted this message, and deal with you by way of your real account accordingly.

The cabinet work is VERY beautiful, but, with all things being considered..........will you take $1400 for it? ...this week?

After all, there is a lot of work to be done to properly modify the trailer to obtain ample sleeping room. It would have been easier to do DURING the build.

My Teardrop

Postby Bill Fernandez » Thu May 28, 2009 8:16 am

In response to all the post of the sale and in defense of my husband:
1) Mr. InternetPilot...Bill's lastest post was not directed at you.
2) As for the sale that did not go thru,,,it was agreeded that the deposit was not refundable. The buyer was purchasing the trailer to make a long road trip ,, she had since cancelled that trip and did not need the camper...SIZE was not an issue.
3) We are not selling the camper due to SIZE,, it is due to health issues Bill has, serious health issues. And you continual quips and digs are not warranted.
4) Before anyone makes statements like you guys have, especially about the deposit, you should have all your ducks in the correct row..

Lynn and Bill,

Please note that there are two similar accounts posting to this thread. My account (InternetPilOt -- note the "o" in Pilot) is not the same as "InternetPilEt" (note the "e" in Pilot). The InternetPilet account was clearly created by a coward who wanted to negatively comment on this thread but was not brave enough to use their real forum account to do so. The fact that they chose to create an "imposter" account so similar to my account I find personally offensive, since I'm sure that you, Bill, and others reading this would simply assume it was me since the spelling is so similar most wouldn't notice the difference.

The truth is that I live very close to Jacksonville, and have been legitimately interested in Bill's tear since he first posted it for sale, especially at such a low price. As things started being discussed more recently, I did find out that the sleeping area would be a bit small for me (I'm 6'4"), but I was still seriously considering buying it and altering the galley to lengthen the sleeping area. I did very recently lose interest in it because $2,000 for a tear requiring modification was reasonable, but the increase in asking price back up to $3,500 makes that a bit too high for me, personally speaking. It's still a good looking, well equipped tear, and as long as it can be used unmodified, $3,500 is still a nice price for it, but just not for me since it would require modification.

Good luck to both of you with the sale of this tear, as well with Bill's health. For future posts on this thread, please check the spelling of "InternetPilot" closely so you won't hate me for something I didn't actually say!

...internetpilEt...I know who you actually are and I have deactivated this account...take care or be banned all together....

Bill Fernandez...nothing that has been said has warranted your displeasure..I am sorry you have to sell your tear...I'm sorry you are having health issues...none of which warrants your negativity, as my ol' Daddy used to say..."you will catch more flies with honey rather than with vinegar...TYVM

p.s. I have locked this thread...Bill, if you wish to relist your tear for sale AND leave the negative attitude behind, please feel free to do so...if you can't be "un-negative" please rely on other venues to sell your TD.......MJ
...I have come to believe that, conflict resolution, through violence, is never acceptable.....................mj

Lynn, first let me say we are all sorry to hear Bill has health issues.

My posts are accurate and in the spirit of the For Sale forum. You will find that correction and critique are normal and part of the process for being sure those who post for sale here are held to a very high standard.

Now, I am a member here and will questions something if I feel the need. There is not intent to insult Bill just to remind him of his original post of the size issue. When Bill changes posts he is unable to change the quotes in others posts. All the changing or deleting posts won't change that. I do appreciate however you all deleting the insult to me.

InternetPilot, I sent a question to the other InternetPilet. For those interested InternetPilot is not the person posting as InternetPilet.

The post from InternetPilet is an accurate quote from the original thread and some of that information has now been deleted. If this continues I will pull this add and you can start a new new one.

And no I am not InternetPilet~

Miriam
