Well, our family has expanded, and we need to upgrade a bit. The wife and I have picked out a Scamp that has room for us and baby... and baby number 2. I am officially not allowed to have any more "projects".
Here is the teardrop that i started a while back. It is built on a 4x8 Harbor Freight trailer. I upgraded it to a 2" coupler and also moved the axle back. There are no lights installed. Other than that, it is towable. It has never been titled, but I do have the Certificate of Origin.
The sides and floor are plywood. The roof spars are plywood, except for the double hardwood spar at the top of the galley. This will make a good mounting point for a hatch. Double spars around the standard roof vent opening, too. The floor has been sealed and has vinyl tiles covering it.
The galley cabinets are custom built by me. They are pine, and have been stained and have a gloss poly. The counter is butcher block. No interior cabinets have been built.
There is a ceiling inside, which is a Masonite type material. I also have a few sheets of foam for insulation, but it is not installed. I have the cutout pieces from the doorways (both sides), which can be made into the actual doors.
Pocket hole joinery is used throughout, with good Kreg screws. The unit is very solid.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Asking price $650.
