2004 Ester-built teardrop for two for sale - Seattle, WA

Postby WendyHJ » Tue Jan 22, 2008 4:07 pm

See http://www.pensandpixels.com/teardrop for full ad and new photos.

Fully loaded 2004 teardrop trailer (#26 of over 40 built by Ed Ester, Master Cabinetmaker of Burien, WA). Stainless steel top, anodized aluminum siding, solid oak construction. Braking rear axle, tongue box loaded with all the extra gear. Hitch it up and go - comes with most everything you need for camping. Locking rear hatch lifts up to reveal a fully stocked galley (cook stove, dishes, silverware, etc), Ralph Lauren bedding ("full size", four foot wide bed) with matching curtains. Locking doors on either side, with custom screens for those hot summer nights. AC/DC, battery and solar charger. Cabinet space for DVD player. Countertop, bedding, and other accessories are dark green. Includes outdoor rugs, privacy tent, collapsible table and benches, chairs, chocks, etc. We are including everything and every trick we know that we have put together after four years of teadropping. After cataloguing full contents on 1/27/08, asking $7,000.00 firm.

Great for camping families and parents with back problems. Memory foam topper on bed high quality RV cushions make it almost as good as home. Mom and dad sleep inside, the kids are in the tent "next door". Mom and dad get some comfortable sleep...For those wanting to travel cross-country, locking doors make it safe to sleep at truck stops and rest areas. We have some stories to tell!

Less than 10,000 miles and in excellent condition. Currently garaged in West Seattle. Current license TR STRK (tear streak) tabs good thru June 08. Inexpensive to insure and license, can be towed by most anything. Current tow vehicle is a MINI Cooper which we are considering trading in for a new "smart fortwo" which is too small to tow. Custom hitch and brake controller can be made available if another MINI owner purchases.

Be welcomed to the fantastic teardropping community, strong in the Northwest with many group campouts and cookoffs all summer long and with meets all across the country. Some really nice folks, really cool classic cars and trucks as tow vehicles, restored teardrops and new models, too, are all welcome. Visit the Teardroppers of Oregon and Washington www.teardroptrailers.org web site for an introduction.

Will consider parting with "matching MINI" if the timing can be arranged right.

Dear Wendy,

It was really nice of you to join the forum so you could try and sell your tear-drop. No hello, or nuthin, just right to the point. Kinda spam like isn't it? Perhaps those that know you would understand.

Hi Wendy,

This is a good spot to post your teardrop for sale. Lots of readers and they may pass on your info to someone who is looking but not yet registered to post. Good luck with your sale.

Jerome

To Steve_Cox

You're right! I am very well known in the TOW group, in the Northwest, and have been to many meets and displayed in some shows. This seemed the best way to reach more tear owners with friends who are wannabes within a drivable distance of Seattle. Our local forums don't have that reach.

Who are you, my mother? :? Didn't see anything in the user guidelines requiring warm and fuzzies. It's been a busy day. Most people appreciate straight-to-the-point and no BS. Besides, who wants to make friends with someone who is SELLING their tear?

To Jerome
Thanks!! We hate to part with it but my husband just won't go anymore. It's too small of a space for the two of us and the Italian greyhound who sleeps under the covers. I guess I'll be doing Sonoma wine country via motel instead of camping this fall. The power of the internet and word-of-mouth is a wonderful thing!

Dear Wendy,

I forgot the most important part when greeting a Noobie, :?
Be sure and post lots of pics in your album, 'cause we just love the pics" :pictures:

Glad to see that you read the "Teardrops & Tiny Travel Trailers Code of Ethics". But I do believe in Paragraph 7, sub-section 4 there is mention of both warmness and fuzziness being a big responsibility of the newly initiated forum members. ;)

Wendy & Steve, why not place an ad in the Seattle Times like Ed does? He seems to get results.
It will sell itself, just may take awhile with the economy such as it is. Danny

We're getting to it - we need to catalogue the contents and set up a web page for it before placing paid advertising. You can run ads for cheap "until it sells".

We're just trying to get eyeballs, the more the merrier!

Hmmmm...Kinda Rude....... But, I guess it comes with the territory from someone who JUST joins the forum JUST to SELL something, rather than contribute something - for the benefit of the forum. BTW "Slammin" forum members (rather than backin up and eatin a little crow) will NOT get your TD sold here (methinks). Good catch, Steve - my BS detector went off the Richter Scale when I first read it...Time for Miriam to lock this 'un??? Naw.. let us have a little fun.......Please, Please, Please....

Hey Unkl Ron (what a screwy name), why don't you read the complete thread before you open your mouth and stick your foot in it. Mr. Cox is the one who started it and I believe Wendy was just responding in a way that Steve would understand with out question. So why don't you just go back and bury your head in the sand and let the Admin's do their thing.

P.S. Talk about contributing something. Just what has it been that you have contribute sense you joined the board last Aug. except a lot of B.S.

Gage, you never disappoint. You really think busting on a fellow Members Screen name is appropriate? I’m somewhat shocked, I would have thought Steve’s Comment would have come from you! Although Steve’s was tasteful and Funny to boot.. while getting his point across. oh well never a dull moment. Sorry folks feel free to pull my membership card if appropriate.
I just couldn’t help myself.

Image to the playground Wendy. Like my new welcome thingy. Kinda of appropriate huh.

Just my opinion, We allow members to join without demand as far as I know. This is the for sale forum and Wendy is selling. She has made her TD available to our members who might be looking. I see this as a good thing for the members as a whole.

Wendy consider yourself initiated. ;) And Thanks, you have a beautiful TD.

Wendy, an introduction or at least a little reading to find out what we are all about WOULD have been more appropriate...BS...we are the capital of the purveyors of BS...if you are the really sensitive type, maybe you should stick to the want adds or Craig's List, 'cause around here, there is no telling what reaction you might get...good luck on selling the tear...too bad you are leaving the community...we have such fun..............

Right now, that's what the plan is. Come back there following the IRG 2.0. Sure hope it doesn't rain like it did this last year. By the way, when you were in California this last year, did you have your Teardrop with you?

Yes, actually I made two TD trips to CA
[A temporary thread hi-jack, here].

Toured to Santa Barbara (movie star wedding) via Raton NM in July (went to a National Shooting Match in Raton, NM on the way); Then a second trip to San Diego area via Mojave in Sept. (visiting some of my "Desert Rat" friends). Probably drove within a few miles of your place on the July blast from Raton. Didn't stop by - figgured you'd just yell at me, if I did....
OK.... sorry for the hi-jack - all you builders/sellers...
