2007 Pleasant Valley Teardrop Trailer. FOR SALE AGAIN.SOLD

Postby rockinrobin » Wed Jul 11, 2012 12:11 pm

For Sale. 4 by 8 This is a good solid, rugged, dependable trailer. Good tires, no leaks, and a new battery. The trailer has been stored all its life inside and is in very good condition. I have had no problems with the trailer since I have owned it. It is ready to go! I would be willing to meet a buyer part way, about 250 miles. The trailer is located in the Texas panhandle. Nothing wrong with this trailer, I bought a 5x10.

I received a pm asking about extras and add ons. You can see the tongue box in the pictures. The previous owner also installed a bumper made out of wood. I like it as I think in a very minor collision it would absorb some damage. There is also a bar installed inside that is handy for pulling on to sit up or for hanging towels to dry. There is a slide out shelf in the center below cabinets that is perfect for a laptop or a small flat screen. tv. There are two flashlights, one mounted in galley, and one inside over left door. Also I have a dressing room that fits around the door. It will attach to either side of the trailer. Also I have an ald Coleman stove I could throw in.
The reason I am selling it is I bought a 5 by 8 Silver Shadow. My toy box is full, one of them has to go!

Hi - I was wondering what the weight is for this teardrop. I'm not sure my 2008 Subaru Forester is equipped to haul something like this, but I'd sure like to have a little trailer to sleep in rather than the back of my vehicle. Thanks for any info you can pass along.

Kathleen, a local dealer's website lists the tongue weight as 125 lbs. and the trailer weight as 920 lbs.

Kathleen,

I have a 2006 Subaru Forester and I easily tow a 5x8 Silver Shadow teardrop which would be a little bit heavier than this one. You will not have a problem.

Actually the empty weight is just a bit under 800lbs. But I am away from the trailer till Sat night. I could give an exact weight then. I usually carry about another 200 lbs of usefull load when camping. Thanks. Ronnie :)

Re: 2007 Pleasant Valley Teardrop Trailer. Not for sale now.

Well, I bought a five wide about two months ago. That's when I put the four wide up for sale. The first people who came to look saw both trailers as they were parked in the same building. He asked me to price the five wide, so after a little hesitation, I thought, why not. so I priced the five wide at a price that would make me very happy. You guessed it, the five wide is gone! So not wanting to be without a tear, I am keeping the four wide Pleasant Valley for now. Ronnie
