'47 Cabin Car on eBay...

Have a teardrop or a trailer for sale? Need one? Post here...

Postby Pottercounty » Mon Feb 09, 2009 3:33 pm

Cabin Car. . . . .Schmabin' Car. . . . Even if it were priced at a $1000.00 bucks it would be ridiculous for a trailer that is still as butt ugly today as it was when it was first designed....

This is the type of deal for those with bigger dreams & $$$ than I......

Having a bad day...? :o
Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

No..not really however, I tire easily and have a low BS tolorance for people who display things for an outragious price just because "its old, there are only five left in the world, it was one of the best instinctive designs, it was owned by so & so, built by so & so, etc, etc, etc .....

Rob...its ugly, and requires alot of work and is way overpriced...

Sorry is I offended anyone..just my 2cents...

So are you coming to racoon lake for the Indiana Gathering?

Rob will probably be there and give you a guided tour!

This is one of the 1st 3 trailers I had ever seen at a gathering in the fall of 07 and I was verry impressed with the care and thought that went into this build.

Hope folks are as kind with the results of your build!

Potter,

...I'm not offended... Just wondered if you were having a bad day.

It IS extremely overpriced, and does need some work if one wanted it "restored".

I'm with you on the rare and special part too, my pet peeve is the term "restored"...

I too believe there are "some" teardrop designs that leave much to be desired.
That we have different tastes is okay, this is America!
My post wasn't to fault your choice or opinion, just to say that it came across as pretty raw...

Sorry it came across as raw,...my apologies. I'm working on a single sleeper for my Goldwing trike. I'm investigating carbon fiber for the build.

I'd be interested in how it comes out...
I'm considering something similar for my bike.
Have you seen the single wheel "uni trac, or uni-go" style trailers?
Their agility combined with a sleeper would make traveling quite pleasant!
