2009 Woodie for sale. ( Sold, Sold, Sold) Finally

Have a teardrop or a trailer for sale? Need one? Post here...

I can easily believe that that price is quite a good deal on such a beauty. In our world, we sometimes forget to value such skill in manufacturing. "Hand-crafted" has been sadly abused in marketing. While I can't afford it (and mine meets my needs), I do hope someone who can appreciate the heart you have put into it will come along quickly.

I've told several people about this tear and how the quality just "oozed" from the picture.

i hope my questions didn't "dirty up" your for-sale thread. I wouldn't be offended if you had a mod remove them. I suppose it was poor form to post directly in the for-sale thread (although, if I was wondering those things, then there are probably others as well.)

As a fellow newbie, I was also curious to know if (no matter the quality and beauty)you could fetch the asking price. Not because it isn't worth it(it's stunning)but because people are tight on funds with the recession and not spending as much(usually). Something above a market range might not sell as quickly as it used to just due to less in the pocket. Two people got laid off at my husbands work yesterday, one had been there 20 yrs.
I wanted to comment I love the map lining the back also, but the woodwork is just amazing...really beautiful!
I am not a patient person, I can't imagine sanding for 90 hrs..yikes!
You have mad skills;)Sally

I can't argue with that. Just to clarify, I don't think anybody SAID it isn't worth that, but only questioned whether or not it was worth that. Like always, a thing is only worth what someone is willing to give for it (sentimentality aside). I'm sure the right person will come along and they'll reach an agreement.

Actually what I think we(I know I was saying)was...will the trailer be able to command that price?
I am not knowledgable about pricing and am just starting to read and prices are all over the place it seems, I was just wondering if he is likely in this economy to get that much, I am sure it's worth a lot more than that, I think it's incredible and the other poster new here thought it was beautiful too.
I don't know trailer prices, it's just a wow, thats a chunk of change, not I don't think it's worth it. I am sure it's worth that and a lot more, I never said it wasn't and the other poster never said that either. It's amazing, it's beautiful, it's valuable...for the right person ready with that much in their hand I am sure it will be a steal...I just don't have that kind of extra cash myself, so it was like, wow, amazing! It's like any valuable commodity, you know someone can buy it, but you can't so you kind of exclaim over it. It's not a bad price at all for what is in it.

There are always people who have money in any economy-careful savers or ones with lower expenditures who can buy beautiful things, I am sure you will sell it;) Ohio is in a big economic/employment slump right now, and that was on my mind when I wrote before-layoffs of long term employees at my husbands work was on my mind.
I am glad to see such creativity in what could be seen as a utilitarian object, it's something that is just beautiful to look at, and I am sure a pleasure to use:) Sally

That's one beautiful teardrop you've crafted  :applause: well worth the asking price.

Be patient and stick to your price, your only looking for one buyer.
We may have 10% unemployment but remember we have 90% employed too.
It took about 3 months to sell one of mine.
I see cars sold at auction all the time on T.V. Heck I even bought one. :D Danny

Danno, don't pull a muscle apologizing.

Your question wasn't rude, IMO. You can't learn if you don't ask.

On big RVs, prices are all about size and features. On TDs, the materials and workmanship are more important.

Some of the manufactured ones are over 10 grand, and some of them are pretty nice. But, none of them really qualify as "beautiful," like this woody and a handful of other TDs on the forum.

It's kind of like a classic wooden boat, in my view. You don't appreciate them for their features -- you just stare at them and admire the woodwork and craftsmanship.

This woody is equipped with all the stuff you really need in a TD -- but what makes it worth 10 grand is the way it looks, and the way it's put together. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, if I could afford to.

That is a work of art. If I owned that I'd be buried in it.

I've seen Camp-inns for sale @ $20,000+ and this one has them all beat without even looking inside. I think the price is very low.

Now if I can just win the lottery.....

Sorry, we didn't mean to imply that anyones questions were rude, our point is that it has to be seen to be totally appreciated. We were fortunate enough to have met Wayne, and looked at his trailer at length, and it's a very impressive piece of work. We are actually trying to talk him into keeping it!! Mary & Bob

I'd never be able to sell that, it's such an investment of time/money. So perfect!
I am glad no feelings were hurt...;)Being new to this trailer style I wasn't quite as aware as I should have been of the total investment this type of creation takes, not only time and money but heart and soul practically. You put yourself into things you make with your own hands.Sally
