I understand that the guy selling the Ebay trailer was selling the trailer as seen in the pictures, but was just wondering about the "kits".

I am the idiot that bought that one. Sent my cousin down there to pick it up and what he returned with was just flat horrible. 14 broken welds, 3 pieces fell completely off and nothing was ever square, straight, or true. My cousin had to buy a roll of duct tape to get all the parts back in any semblance owhat I bought. The seller used a big stick welder, and apparently did all the welding in the dark, with his eyes closed.

I had to buy 30 feet of steel tubing to be able to straighten everything out, but at least now it what I thought I was buying in the first place.

The axle is pretty heavy duty, and with those tires on it (off a ford ranger) there is about 2 or 3 inches between the tires and the trailer sides.

I am bound and determined to make the best of this thing.

Bender... It still looks like a pretty good deal from here, even if you did have to reweld some places and work on it a bit. I doubt you could have a frame built for that price...

Heikki... Most deffinately... the seller should have been honest and forthcoming with the truth about tha frame and the amature welding job. Maybe he didn't even know his welds were poor? Buying stuff off ebay is always a bit of a gamble. But, just looking at the pictures, that curved tubing looks to have been professionally done. A simple flatbed steel trailer around here will go for more than 600 bucks. Thus I figured he didn't do too bad even though he had to fix the frame. Of course, this is just my humble openion.

Yeah, he could have represented it a lot better. I pretty much went off the bending that got done. I figured anyone who could bend like that would at least know how to weld. I was wrong. None of the welds were broke at the time of pick-up, they broke and parts fell off on the way home. Honestly, when it got home, I thought it got off the ball and rolled on the way home. I would not have been so upset had that been the case.

I left him some pretty nasty feedback on eBay, because all of a sudden, Flash-he will no longer answer his email. I would highly discourage anyone buying anything from this guy. Ever. He sent some pics along with my cousin of tardrops he had built and sold. I ain't the only sucker out there. They looked like crap, I wouldn't be caught dead towing one of those to the dump. Afraid someone might think that was some of my work.

I am gonna do what I can with what I have. I just went and measured the door openings and they are nowhere near being square.

from the looks of all that "iron" that sucker might be a bit heavy. Is that a sheet steel floor?? Have you weighed it yet. Just curious could turn out to be a nice teardrop if you rework the problems wish you lotsa luck
