Utility Trailer - Perfect for Teardrop Project $350 OBO

LOCATED IN CENTRAIL ILLINOIS

I would like to offer my trailer here for a first chance to forum readers before I place it for sale locally or list it on eBay.

I lurked and read this forum for months having the bug to build a teardrop trailer. I already had a nice utility trailer that I no longer used so I started to modify it for use as a teardrop foundation. However, my job keeps me so busy that it set for a while and did not go any further. Like many before me, I have lost interest and momentum so now I have a started project up for sale.

This trailer used to be a 5x8 utility trailer that I had professinally made to haul my customized golf cart around to car shows and swap meets. It is made using a 2500 lb axle, with leaf springs connected to an all-welded angle iron frame and a pipe tongue with a 2" coupler. It had a 2x6 treated floor, angle iron frame sides, and an expanded metal and angle iron lift gate for driving the golf cart on without ramps. This trailer served many other uses such as hauling furniture, motorcycles, and lawn mowers. It has Weld Racing aluminum directional wheels with Titan trailer tires (not the usual car radials).

When I started building the teardrop, I cut off the gate and the sides, and removed all other accessories. Right now, the trailer is still towable and has current Illinois license plates, tags, title, etc. It still has the near new Titan trailer tires and the Weld Racing Aluminum wheels. I also built a removable light bar that allows the trailer to be safely and legally towed at night. The wiring is setup for a 7-pin or a 4-pin connection (note that there are no brakes).

The wheels and tires alone on this trailer are worth the asking price. Again I have just lost interest and do not have time to complete the project. The new owner is welcome to the boards, the ramp gate, and the sides if they can stap them to the trailer or place them in the bed of a truck.

Thanks for reading my posting.
