...however, for 50 bucks more, you can get a WFCO convertor and have all you AC/DC power needs covered by one unit

I guess that's why I thought it was such a good deal.

I found a better charger. It's made in Sweden and the company is called CTEC. I bought the 3300 model for my TD and installed it in the battery box (the forward compartment).

This is the best location that tells about it.

It has multiple settings to do motorcycle, automotive, deep cycle and the difficult AGM or gell-cell batteries. These charge at three different rates; first it replaces the missing amperage back in the battery then it goes into a sleep mode then as the battery discharges it goes into a cycle mode to maintain the charge of the battery.
I used it to charge up two GP 27 deep cycle batteries at the smae time (I jumpered across both batteries).
I've been selling auto battery chargers for 27+ years and this is the most compact charger and one that can charge all auto batteries especially the gell cell batteries.

Thanks Mike, I've been looking at the CTEC over here and was trying to justify the extra to myself. You've just done it for me

Thank You

All Ya'll convinced me. Just ordered the 3600. Like the small footprint. It will fit in the chase on the Generic BenRoy. Does indicate that it need convection for cooling. May have to drill some holes around it.
