Looking for a Teardrop in the southern Quebec/Vermont area

Postby torontolou » Mon Feb 19, 2007 5:12 pm

Hello there! We are looking to buy our first Teardrop and would appreciate any pointers as to sources in and around our part of the world. No kits, please; we both have Parkinson's Disease and that ain't gonna work for us. Thanks a bunch!

Hi from neighbouring Ontario.

What size are you looking for? I can think of a few options...

Steve Frederick in Albany NY. See http://www.steve-frederick.com/ . Not a bad drive from your area. He'll be at the TearUp the ADK campout in June if you're interested. There will be many teardrops at the campout too. See http://tearuptheadk.com for more info. Easy drive from South QC / Northern Vermont.

Adirondack Teadrops in St.Lazare, Quebec, see http://adirondackteardrops.com

We have a great one here.. that 'may' be for sale... not sure if I'm ready to part with it though.... http://campadk.com/pjsnoozer/index-presummer.html

Beyond that you have Popular Hill RV in Tuner, Maine that is a Camp-Inn dealer... see http://poplarhillrv.com/

I have a neighbour that had a small 'Little Guy'... not sure if he sold it, but I could always check if you're interested.

From the Quebec-Vermont frontier and wanting a Teardrop!

Thank you, Dave, for your suggestions. We, of course, would like a roomier rather than not Teardrop but price and location will be higher priority decision drivers. Guess that means we are flexible on size, so long it can be towed by our VW Golf.

The steve-frederick site looks fab but I think beyond our price range. Used might be a better option for us although we probably also need to work our way around the sticker shock that our limited disability incomes give rise to.

We have cause to drive to or through Montreal and Ottawa occasionally and would LOVE to have the opportunity of seeing and making an offer on your Snoozer should you decide to sell. I know naught about Little Guys but will have a look online to inform myself. I’d say that, as a rule, we are open to cost affordable options. Anything that will get us on the road more often and set up easier will get our attention.

We may just make the Fish Creek June 15-18 TearUp. We are a 4-hour drive away. We are already booked for one week at Rollins Pond from Saturday July 28th to Sunday August 5th. Will any of you guys happen to be there at the same time?

Thanks again for your pointers. Geez, it will be like having a dream come true for how ever many more years the Parkinson’s makes camping viable for us!

Best wishes,

Louise and Paul.
