Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Hi all!

I work for California State Park's and Ocean Mesa RV Resort near Santa Barbara California. A month ago a b e a u t i f u l 'woody' teardrop stayed at the park (any of you??)…long story short… I’m in love.

Summer is a tough time for us, sometimes I work 70+ hours a week, and the 40mile commute becomes killer. I would love to invest in a teardrop so I can take advantage of getting to camp at state parks for free. Plus, being a wildlife photographer it would be wonderful to hitch up and go with all my equipment pre-packed.

So, anyone in Cali selling their teardrop? I'm a poor state employee so I'm afraid I can only pay between $2-4,000. I'm currently looking at Karyn's in Orange County, but I'm just not sold.. you know.. so I'm gunna keep on looking. I have a 4cl Camry coupe, so nothing over 1000 lbs.

Buying and selling aside these teardrops are true works of art, wonderful job everyone! If you’re going to be driving through gimme a heads up, p l e a s e, I'd love to see these guys up close and personal! I'll trade you a free photo shoot for the opportunity. :-)

If you check out the destinations link up top in the menu you can get a good idea when and where the gatherings will be held that you might be able to attend, you'll find plenty of teardrops to check out. Also on the destinations page you'll notice a teardrops for sale link, I saw a few on there that might fit your needs.

Karen, welcome to our litle asylum...Kevin has pinted you in a godd direction to start...we have a member...Ma3tt that is a park ranger on SoCal....good luck on your quest but be warned...these little campers are very addictive!!!!

Nope Steve wasn't the Lil Diner, I'm a big fan of that one so I'd recognize it right off the bat (I've gotta thing for inlaid wood :-P ) This one was all about the wood panels, looked like the design was inspired by a 1940's ford woodie.

fyi Ocean Mesa has a great view but is pricey, and you have to park in the RV area even if yea don't need all the fancy hook ups :-( But great view and wireless if you're willing to pay the price. I much prefer staying at Refugio or El Capitan SB. Gimme a heads up if you're plannin’ on staying at either State Park, and I can give yea the inside scoop.
