Vegas Teardrop on Craigslist

Ok, ok I know it's bare, with no kitchen or electric but... I L O V E the sunroof, big windows and doors. Although I would worry about insulation. How easy is it to modify these factory built trailers? If I wanted to add a cover for the roof and curtains on the inside?...Maybe install a soler charging station just to charge the laptops and cameras (I do alot of photojournalism on the road.) Mayby pop a chuck kitchen on the front platform... Do you think I could do it without harming the resale value??Is it worth it? I'm poor and I think I can get him down to $2000, which is what I can a afford for my first teardrop.. then resale it later to help finance the teardrop of my dream... did I say I LOVE the sunroof?

Alas I am a ig'nint first time buyer; what do ya'll think???

Not too bad a price. I guess the galley doesn't say much since there aren't any pictures of it.

I think it is pretty sharp looking, but it has to get very very very warm when the sun is out.

Nice in any case.. I dont think it would be difficult to add things into the galley on it...

Very nice looking, if you can get for the price you want, I would say go for it. Adding anything you want would not lower the sale price of it in the future. I see it doesn't appear to have a hatch and putting a chuck wagon type kitchen on the front platform would be a good alternative to a hatch galley. Check with any of the people on this forum that are involved with scouting and they will get you started in the right direction. I would not worry about the sunroof causing too much heat inside. Their are many ways around that and many teardrops have sunroofs.

Black = heat in the California sun = cooking you when you try to rest.

If you don't have AC or park in total shade in the summer sun. The sun roof
may let out enough heat or a good fan may do the trick for you.

If the doors are closed and the sun is beating down on this box ... you will
soon understand that black surfaces have a tendency to absorb the sun's
life energy.

Well I've decided to once again wait. In the end I know I'll probably build one. I'm just too picky to have it any other way haha and too poor! Actually I'm already doomed, I've started sketching you see ... Maybe I'll contact the local college and see if they'll let me use there shop for a ILE... ( independent learning experience)

Thanks for all the advice! In the end; no battery power, no kitchen, no pretty wood, and heat scared me away. It’s a big decisions and I really REALLY thank you all for the great advice!
