Little Guy 4 x 8 Sport for sale

Postby RAYVILLIAN » Sun Mar 04, 2007 9:16 pm

I have a 04 Little guy 4 x 8 sport for sale. Trudy didn't think I'd get one built and than I fooled her and built the Winter Warrior so we haven't used this trailer for 2 years.

I customized it with a cabinet and shelf over head and a pass through bulk head so you don't have to get out to get to your luggage. It also has a small removeable galley and a tarp for shade.

It has been stored in the garage in the winter so it is in good shape. Here's some pics.

We're asking $2500 for the trailer with tarp and mattress pads. Trailer only weighs 800 LB and can be pulled by just about anything. Please PM me if interested.

Gary, something to think about. If by chance you don't sale it by the ITG, bring it instead of the Winter Warrior and hang a 'For Sale' sign on it. I've seen many teardrops sold at the larger gatherings. Just a thought. Good luck with the sale.

I think that's a great deal. You shouldn't have any trouble getting rid of it.

Hey folks
I just found out, due to some questions that have come up in PM's, that I need to clarify some things on this trailer. I thought it was called a Sport when we bought it but just found out that is is now called a 4-wide Retro.
The stated weight on the data sticker on the tongue is only 660 lbs not 800 so this trailer could be pulled by just about anything. It has a 1500 lb torsion axle.

Possible New Convert to the Teardrops.

Postby RochelleInAustinTexas » Sat Apr 07, 2007 12:30 am

I just posted in both the "new persons" and the "South Central" threads. I had just intended to post info on the Austin, Texas area camping sites and started to realize that these campers may very well be a great tool for me and my daughter.

It is a "slap yourself in the forehead situation." My child is 8 1/2 yrs old and obviously would think a Teardrop would be pretty cool. I just now read your post about your camper being qualified as small, correct? Also, I read that it weighs 600 lbs (and not 800 lbs) and therefore anything could pull it. I've got a V6 Camry; that should do it.

Now, question: I saw from one picture that a tarp is pulled out or over for sleeping. Also, I saw the link someone posted that redirects you to a the Sportsman Guide site; the URL showed a canopy. Does this mean that some campers do not have that capability? I would imagine it's also because children are the only ones who fit inside for sleeping, right? This last question is one I'd like to hear about. I'm not too concerned if my daughter could not but I would think she'd feel much more secure.

In any case, I hope to hear from you and need to see if you posted a price.

Your pictures show bedding so obv. one can sleep inside the unit. However, it looks gorgeous and would imagine its price reflects this fact.

Still, I'm curious to know what it sells for, Rochelle

The number one question that is asked of us is "Do you really sleep in that?" Oh, and the answer is yes we do and other things. :)

Thanks for the interest ... but we have sold the Little Guy and will be delivering it on Wednesday. They are going to be pulling it with a "Mini" ... so your Camry should do fine.
