Are you calling my teardrop a dog house? Big deal, $20. That just might cover part of the shipping.

The one on e-bay is cheaper than the one the guy is offering. But, the one he is offering is a 2500 versus a 2000 on e-bay. So while it is more expensive, it has 25% more BTU's.

What's 500 BTU's when your talking teardrop space. So you have to run it 5 minutes longer, if that.

Hmmm... I hadn't noticed? You would think the out of date models would be even cheaper? I guess not...
I'm perfectly happy with my $50. window shaker any way... I like it built in.

I've read where some have said the 2000 wasn't quite enough. Maybe 25% more would be.
I don't have any association with the seller, I was just saying lets not compare apples to oranges.

Nope can't eat apples and don't like oranges. I was talking Air Conditioners. And besides, living in SoCal, I don't need an a/c.

And as a side note. hitech most likely only joined the board just to make some money or at least try. Strange how his very first post is in the 'For Sale' section. He didn't even have time to say hello. As far as I'm concerned this thread is SPAM and is open for anything that is thrown at him. It would be nice if he came back and proves me wrong.

Gage, I have no doubt that "hitech" joined in hopes of making a few sales...normally, that would not be allowed BUT since it is a Td related item and they did post in the "ForSale" section, it will be allowed...if it makes ya feel any better, I sent them a PM outlining what we allow....or not.........

I think someone from the board just bought one from him and may have directed him here. Maybe?

Guys,

I just bought one from HiTech, in fact I even posted about it in case anyone else was looking for one.

http://tnttt.com/viewto ... highlight=

However, I did not tell HiTech of the website, provide the URL, or even tell them what I was going to use it for.

I posted about ship time and customer service in the attached thread.

BTW - I did not get any $20.00 discount, I paid the price on the website.

Petcool reply from Hi-tech

Postby hitech » Thu May 24, 2007 9:13 am

I have notices that a lot of our customers were buying our PETCools for multiple uses. After compiling some statistics is made sence to offer our PETCool to people who love camping and to tear drop trailer owners. I do not have a tear drop trailer but I do use a PETCool on an Insulated tent that I made and just use an electrical hookup camp site. I know the $20 discount is not much but with free shipping its about a $40 savings off the lowest price available for the 2500 BTU model. We are the only ones who offer a 1 year drop exchange warranty that start over again if the unit fails and a new one is shipped. I like the creativity you folks have shown modifying your tear drop trailers and hope some day I have time to enjoy one myself. I'm just trying to make this unit as affordable as I can to help us all enjoy the great outdoors. Over the coming year with new suppliers I hope to have the cost of the unit down to about $279.

That would make it much more attractive.. I thought I got a good deal on a 2.5 at $400 with free shipping...

I think with insulation a 2k would work fine.. my current tear has a 5k window unit, which cycle off and on a lot, making me think it is way more than I need.

But, I've started the next tear and will use the pet cool on it.... just like to get the noise outside... and having the heater built in seems good...

I bought i months back and won't use if for several months at least..

Has anyone ever had a problem with a pet cool? my warranty might run out (or maybe already has), even before I use it.
