Looking for a Tear

Postby Mary Dall » Fri Jun 22, 2007 10:15 pm

 I'm interested in looking for a unique TearDrop that would be able to be towed by a MiniCooper S. It would have to be very special and add to the appearance of the vehicle. I would also like to know if there is one out there that has the shower/toilet combo instead of the closet. Any ideas?[/list]

Mary... There are dozens of builders that frequent this forum that can build you anything you want. It sounds like you may be after more of a "Tiny Travel Trailer" if it is going to have a toilet/shower combo? Obviously, it needs to be small and light weight to work well behind a MiniCooper. All it takes is some time and enough money to pay for it. You can spend about $5000. to as much as you can afford? Just come up with more specifics... you will get some answers, I'm sure. ;)

Not to sound negative or anything, but anything that has a shower/toilet is probably going to be too big for a Mini. We had 3 Minis (all S) at Minden this year all towing tears.

Mary,
An alternative would be to get a tear with two doors, have an attachable enclosure for one side, so you could have a privacy room for using a porta-poti, changing clothes, showering, etc.
I'm with Rocky about the Mini Cooper being too small for a tear with a bathroom.

Not to be funny... but unless you are less than 3-4 feet tall it is unlikely you will find a teardrop with a shower/toilet combo. Now there are several teardrops that can be towed by a mini cooper but they are usually smaller than the typical teardrop which is still too small for a shower or even toilet.

You could always pack a shower tent (many TD campers have them as dressing rooms) to use as a shower/porta potty combo.
