Aw Bodfish, I knew I'd seen that thing up close. With all the work that has to be done (mainly floor replacement) it's maybe worth $1000 at best and those are alum. fenders. He had it listed on Craig's list for $3000. That's probably what his reserve is.

Heikki,
And all they can give is a bill of sale, no title.
So that would have been bad for you in proving how old it is.

No title, and it is no longer in the DMV system (in Calif) so I will give a Bill of Sale.

Gage,

Have you seen this TD up close? Is the flooring rotted? The sellers claim it is in usable shape and "very strong"

Back up for Sale

Looks like this one is back for sale again. Has anyone ever seen this TD in person? Does it really exist? Seems strange that the owners can't seem to close a deal on this rig.

What, did you decide you didn't want it? So where is it listed this time?

And as far as your other question, what did I post? I say it the way I see it.

Gage,

No, I really wanted this TD but the condition of the floor was not disclosed anywhere in the Ebay auction description and the sellers are not willing to send the photos I asked for. They wanted the cash immediately but I can't get away from work for about 10 days so they pulled the plug on the auction. I am still baffeled by why they were not overjoyed by getting $4300.00 closing on a trailer they had a $3000.00 reserve on. Seems to me they could wait a week or two. I just wasn't willing to buy a pig in a poke. That is why the red flags have gone up. What is wrong with this picture?

Maybe they were just testing the waters to see if their "investment" is ready to pay out. This trailer has been up for sale 3 times now (I think)and even though there have been people interested in buying it, no one has been able to close the deal.

Yeah, something smells rotten. Something besides the floor.

Yeh...........here's their latest email:

I certainly did send the information you requested, one set of undercarriage photos, and my address,
but you did not receive them, due to your giving me an incorrect email address, which you do not want
to admit, I suppose. Since you did not, as you say, receive the pictures and information I sent, why
did you keep bidding on the trailer? Now you are regretting that you won it. We are now glad you
didnt pay in time, we have decided to keep it and pull it behind our 55 Chevy wagon.

Strange how my email works to receive these messages but not to get photos or addresses. I agree with Gage, I'm probably better off without this one.
