I bought a new [never registered] 5x10 Silver Shadow in Dec. '07 and parked it under cover in my garage. This trailer was never slept in and comes with mattresses that are still in their original plastic.Since buying this teardrop my wife and I have made plans to build a house in Panama and our plans for the teardrop have changed.
You can research this site for opinions on the quality of this Amish built trailer.
My price is $6300.
You can email me at [email protected] or call me at 413-245-7396.
I am located in central Massachusetts.

You paid between $5,000 & $6,000 for it just three months ago and now your asking $6,300?

How would you know what I paid for for my Teardrop and why would you care? I don't know what you are insinuating, but my price is hundreds under list price.

In other words you didn't get the one you were talking about last Dec. Ok, I'll go with that.

Not to add coals to the fire but.... I think gage was referring to these posts.

stoveman wrote:That is what my wife said as I am proudly about 1/3 through the building of a 4x8 Benroy. My wife is a great gal and will go along with most any adventure I'm into so she says, I think it would work better for us if it was a little bigger. We are going to Florida in a couple of weeks and I found a new 07 5x10 Pleasant Valley Silver Shadow for between $5000-$6000. From anyones experience,is that a good TD for the money?
Of course I will complete the Benroy in the Spring.

Thanks, Bob

I will have to call the dealer tomorrow because the parking lights went out and kept blowing fuses so I had to drive in rush hour traffic at night with no lights.Fun fun fun.
All in all I'm grateful for a safe trip.

Both of which were posted in Dec. of last year.

This is unbelievable to me. All I wanted to do was put an ad on this site for a teardrop trailer. I don't understand why anyone would take the time to look at my previous posts to find out what I paid for it and then question me about the price I'm selling it for when they aren't interested in buying it. And then someone else looks up and posts what I wrote in Dec.
Put yourself in my place , I don't think you will get a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Its nothing personal. Look at it from a buyers perspective. Its easier to understand that way. Not trying to single you out, I'd say the same about anyone. Wether you used it or not, its now a used trailer and not worth more than the original price. Now that being said... if everything is on the up and up, our comments should mean nothing, and your sale should go without a hitch.

Questions being ask upsets you? Then put it on 'Craigslist', either that or Ebay. I'm sure you'll find a buyer there. Enjoy Panama, I hear tell that's a fantastic place to live, no snow.

P.S. I could have asked you about the teardrop that you were going to finish this spring, but I didn't. I was interested in finding out about your Silver Shadow so if asked, I could give a good opinion on what I think about your tear. And I do get asked about different teardrops that are for sale.

I, for one, would like to thank Gage and people like Gage. I bought a used TD and asked for opinions on this forum before I did. I got info from people that knew more about what I was buying than I did. This included new price and an idea of depreciation. When I sell my TD to build my own, I expect that Gage and people like Gage will keep me honest on my price, of course I have made some improvements (bling) and will expect my price to go up some :D

James...I don't think it's so much about keeping anyone honest on their price, as it is understanding what the market will bear. People like Gage, Grant, Len etal, probably have forgotten more about tears than some of us will ever know. The members of this forum have a better idea of resale values than the uninformed buyer on a Craigs List or E-bay. Anyone remember "the finest teardrop ever built" discussion? When/if I go to sell any of mine...they go straight to E-bay...Doug

Hey guys

I Did not know that there were price police on this forum. :(
Gage and Wimperdink is this an official job of yours or did you just self appoint yourselves as price police.

That said, I looked at a Silver Shadow 5 x 10 at a local dealer last summer that had a price tag on it of over $7000.00. So $6300 is a deal. What someone pays for something and what they can sell it for are 2 differant things. Its called supply and demand. If he thinks he can get $6300 what business is it to anyone who is not interested in buying it
anyhow.

Now should be a good time to sell a teardrop. Its the start of the camping season up North so its a good time to sell

I did buy a Silver Shadow 5x10 last summer and I love it. Its a great camper. But what I paid for it is my bussiness.

Have a great day

LoL hardly consider myself price police. But I will appoint myself if you like. Can't help myself when the BS meter goes off the scale.

Now with the rest of your comment. Put your money where your mouth is and buy yourself a nice lil tear at the great deal you see it is. Then both of you can be happy.

P.S. See stoveman... your ad is getting lots of activity now. :applause:
