I need a small travel trailer

Hello, All---I'm new to this forum but I'm already in love with all the Teardrops and Tiny Travel Trailers I've seen on here. Now to business--I belong to a wonderful group called "Sisters on the Fly" and am looking for a small travel trailer to purchase, somewhere in the $500-$600 range, so I can go on outings with my Sisters and not have to sleep in a tent. I'm not too horribly concerned about condition as I can restore it with help from my daughter and son-in-law (because it will actually live at their house). My only real requirement is that it is towable so I can get it to their house. I'm in the Southeast Tennessee area so I won't be able to go too far afield to see one, so post pictures if you've got them and I'll give it a look.

I hope you don't expect too much for $500-$600  . Almost total wrecks go for a whole lot more than that.
This linkwill give you an idea what used trailers are going for. Good luck in your search. ;) Danny

And not a single one for $600.00

But don't give up I built Chubby for about $850. Found used this and that and made what I had work. Just find a small utility trailer in someone's back yard that's looks unloved and knock on the door they may suprise you and sell real reasonable and get to building. You don't need dovetailed drawers and cherry cabinets. Just a simple box mounted on the trailer. I was intimidated by the many works of art here on the forum but I waded in and did my own thing. I like Chubby even if he is still a bit rough around the edges yet.

Hey Danny, I only paid $300 for my Dalton. Only had to clean the inside and paint the outside. They are out there. The problem is, they're all out here in the West. I wouldn't pay over $1000 for an UNrestored CanHam. So she is in the right ball park. Although, she's going to have a hard time finding one back there that is'nt all rusted out. She needs to look behind barns, out in the fields and behind peoples houses. That's the way they are found. ;) She should also try and contact some of the other Sisters in Arizona to see if they know of any.

Here's a good place to look for Canhams listed on the internet (mainly ebay)

"THE NEW GATOR CLASSIFIEDS"

Oh, and one other thing, I got my 13' Santa Fe for FREE. So like I said they are out there. You just have to look and don't get in a hurry.

I found a free Santa Fe too!!! Needed lots of love and repair but someone still paid $350 for it.
Check your local Craigslist. Some of the prices are good and it will be close enough to go check it out first.

Dennis, there's a long story behind that Santa Fe that you found in your neck of the woods. Some day I'll tell you about it. If you recall, that gal had two vintage trailers. Or maybe you didn't know that.

Hey, All of You, thanks so much for your responses. Indeed, nearly all the small trailers I've seen have been west of the Mississippi so they're WAAAAYYYYY outta my territory. I do check the Craigslist (all over my state) regularly and find all kinds of pop-ups but not much by way of small campers. But I shall continue the quest and I just know that one will call my name one of these days.

Edited cuz I cain't speel :?
