I have a teardrop style trailer for sale here. I bought this off of a older co-worker of mine a few months ago who is a big jeepster. I got this before we had our daughter thinking that it would work for us. The wife wasnt happy with it, so it must go. I really wish I got more use out of it! I have it posted on Craigslist but am having problems with adding pictures. My friend told me about this website to list it for sale. I have been trying since Apr.

Custom built 5x9ft "teardrop" camper/trailer built in 05. Perfect for off-roaders, 31" tires w/ spare, great ground clearance. Sleeps two, 4" foam mattress that folds up into a couch. Oak paneling interior with 3/4" foam insulation between. Wired for 110 or 12v, will include a one time used 12v deep cycle marine battery. A/C, lighted inside/outside and interior fan. Lots of storage in galley and in cabin. Crankout windows with screens. Was listed for $4,000. Just re-listed on Craigslist for $3,500. Thank you all for looking. lowered once again $2,500.

I recognize that TD. That has the big 31" tires and the back converts into a table. (It was one of the first one that really caught my attention). It's a shame that your wife isn't happy with it because that shelf is almost big enough to extend into a bunch for your little one.

You need to get her to poke around this forum. There is a number of people who have done the bunks and they look nice. I won't even go into fuel cost and convenence. My wife was all set to do the bunk thing however we got a good deal on a 6 foot wide and just have our little dude sleep between us for now. You should get a few takers. It is a nice trailer.

To be quite honest I have only used this one time and never had a generator for it to use the a/c. I could talk to my friend who sold it to me, as I dont want to give you the wrong info. Though did tell me to leave the top hatch open whenever we were in it because the thing is sealed so well.

From what I know, the a/c is good to go. The gentleman I bought this from is a very trustworthy man. He leads Jeep runs throughout California for a few 4 wheel clubs, and runs some of the on line forums. I will get back to you on as much as possible. FYI, I am a 6"2 245lb man who fits very comfortable in this with room to spare while laying down. I will get you the specs tomorrow.

I might be willing to meet you in Amirillo Tx. One of my friends said he would drive his truck, (i have a lifted tahoe with mud tires, terrible on gas) and he is from the area anyways.

If you are really serious about this, we can make it happen. I would be able to do it next weekend.

damn

Try checking into uship.com, Amtrak auto tran, and other transport trailers.

Uship.com is a website similar to Ebay where you list what you want shipped, weight, dimensions, color, taste, smell, etc., to/from locations, dates preferred, and even an amount you are willing to pay. Those empty laden trailers, people traveling across the country, etc will bid on your listing. Some are insured and bonded. Your agreement is through uship and is between the 2 parties. And I believe there is no fee to list right now.
I sold an ambulance box (to be used as a camper but it weighed too much) and it was shipped through uship.com by the buyer. It went from KC to northern CA in less than 2 weeks.

Amtrak auto train may be able to carry the camper across the country at a reasonable rate.
