A NEW CONCEPT I DEVELOPED, DESIGNED AND CREATED JUST FOR 4-FOOT WIDE TEARDROP TRAILERS. THIS GALLEY HATCH AWNING SLIDES INTO AN AWNING RAIL ATTACHED TO THE BODY OF YOUR TEARDROP JUST BEFORE THE OPENING TO THE HATCH. THE AWNING IS 11 FEET LONG AND COVERS THE ENTIRE HATCH PLUS 7 FEET.THE PLACEMENT OF THE AWNING RAIL ON THE BODY OF YOUR TRAILER WILL PREVENT RAIN FROM DRIPPING INTO THE GALLEY.IT IS MADE OF 100% ACRYLIC SUNBRELLA (BISQUE BROWN 4773) 9.25 OUNCE FABRIC, INCLUDING THE CUSTOM MADE BINDING AND FACINGS WHICH ENSURE THAT THE ENTIRE AWNING IS MILDEW, FADE, ROT, RAIN, UV AND TEAR RESISTANT.THE CRAFTMANSHIP AND CONSTRUCTION PROVIDE A STURDY QUALITY MADE AWNING. FOR ADDED STRUCTURE THERE ARE FACINGS REINFORCING ALL THE EDGES.THE MARINE QUALITY 5/16 “ NYLON PULL CORD IS WEATHERPROOF. THE STITCHING IS #69 THREAD INTENDED FOR OUTDOOR USE. THERE ARE FOUR HEAVY DUTY GROMMETS. TWO ARE IN THE END CORNERS, THE OTHERS ARE DOWN HALF WAY, SO THAT YOU CAN ADD POLES FOR EXTRA SUPPORT IF YOU CHOOSE TO CLOSE THE HATCH.IT IS DISPLAYED ON MY TOYOTA WHICH HAS A FOUR FOOT WIDE TRUNK AND IS ABOUT THE SAME HEIGHT AS A TEARDROP.THIS SHOWS HOW THE AWNING CAN BE USED FOR TAILGATE PARTIES TOO. INTRODUCTORY PRICE IS $125.00.PICTURES SOON.KF

That's alright Kristi, he doesn't like the way I post either. He just hasn't got anything better to do but complain and send PM's if people don't post like he does.
Here's what I did. Just added an awning rail to the lower edge of the galley hatch. I've been asked several times where one can get one of those. So you should be able to sale it with orders for more once the word get's out. Try and get a teardrop to show it. That would help.
My awning is a dual purpose awning. It really belongs to a vintage 13' travel trailer.

If you follow the sugject "awning" you can see all of the imput T&TTT members have put into this awning idea. There seems to be a need for several different types of Teardrop awnings. It would be great to see this one on a Teardrop Hatch, but I only have a 13' trailer.I have another awning idea that is in the planning stages. The next one will be for the door. Thank you for the encouragement. KF

O.K., quit the insults. All I did is list an item for sale in capital letters and it turns into a feud!!!! I didn't forget about the 5' wide teardrop owners. I have a Vintage look Teardrop Galley Hatch Awning 3/4 finished and will put it up for sale soon. This one is 9 1/2' long x 5' made of Sunbrella in shades of beige, natural and green.I will have pictures probably by tomorrow.KF

Gage usually post comments that are helpful and make you think and he shares a lot of knowledge. If I didn't like the way he post his ideas I would just not read them. I will continue to read them and hope he will comment on my questions when I pose them as I find him to be knowledgeable on building teardrops. If we only associated with people we agreed with seldom would we learn anything meaningful. Just my thoughts.
PS. I don't usually jump in on thread hijacks.
