Subject: Entertainment center in my teardrop

I know this might shock some of you purests, but I want to put a DVD
and LCD flat panel into my new tear drop. I want an entertainment
center that runs on the 12v deep cycle battery.

I thought I saw a post of someone else going to update their vintage
trailer with some cool electronics. Any info on what I could put
into my teardrop that would be great. I pick up my Eddie Bauer
special edition one of a kind 5x10 fat boy, made by Hunter Outdoor
products next week. So I want to start getting the stuff together
to make it into a fun camper. This trailer was made specially for
Eddie Bauer as a test to see if they were going to sell them in
their stores. They decided not to and I got to buy the trailer. I
fact, I bought two of them. The other one is 4x8 and is fully
loaded with every option that the company could buy for it. I may
sell that one. I will post pictures shortly.

Thanks. Black Dog (aka Rick)

1959 12 foot Security Vintage
2004 Teardrop Eddie Bauer (2 of those)

PS my wife thinks I'm nuts. I am beginning to agree with her.

Check Wallyworld, the one around here had those DVD players that mount on the back of a car headrest. They are 12 volt and would work pretty good in a TD.

Get a laptop computer

Get a laptop computer, Now you will have a superior LCD screen, a dvd player, a dvd writer, a cd player, an amplifier and all your music placed on your hard drive. Runs on all voltages, can be used for other things, ie internet, email, etc. all for prices that begin around 550 dollars . Just add great speakers.

If you add up the costs of all the different components for a stand alone teardropsize entertainment center, they will cost far more than a laptop.

ralaco,

Nice going! 2 Hunter man

What part of the world do you live in?

We used a portable DVD player last year in our tear which worked ok... but was a little hard to access. See the Inside Cabin Tour Video at
http://campadk.com/pjsnoozer/pjvideos.html to see it in action.

This spring I hope to pick up a small widescreen DVD player with wall mount instead so it a bit more integrated in the cabin along with a set of external speakers.. oh and of course a small subwoofer which you can put in the underbunk storage of your Hunter. Best Buy did have the perfect model DVD player (wall mount) around Christmas... I didn't write down the model though.

The ones build specifically for a van or back of the seat are a bit on the bulky side and much more expensive.
