I may have to call my sister and tell her to go check it out. She lives about 30 minutes from B.R.

Here you go:

http://batonrouge.craigslist.org/rvs/1125613313.html

We have a 1974 Scotty Sportsman (Collector's from what we've been told.) It's small, but cute as it can be. Due to minor paneling damage inside, it appears to have had a leak at some point over the years, but never leaked since we've used it. Cold A/C unit. Sink, built in gas stove, cold fridge, full size bed one end, converts to sofa. Twin on the other, which converts to table/dining area. Lots of cabinets and storage. Original wheel covers, and paint colors. Not designed to have a restroom, we just always chose a site close to bath house. Hate to see it just sit. Too busy to camp at this point in our lives. Located in Livingston, approximately 3 miles off I-12. . Tongue to back bumper is 13'. If interested please email [email protected] or call 225-287-2130 and we can arrange a time for you to come see it. Asking price 1500 OBO.

That looks like a great vlue. Go Cajun Lady, go fast. it will be gone very soon but do look for flood water marks and check the closets for water moccasins.

 I'm laughing but I will have her (sister) check for water markings. This is located in a town called Denham Springs (I think). I am getting ready to call the lady in about 15 minutes.

If it's in pretty good shape, then I have to convince my mom that she needs to buy this for my sister.............and me. If not, I guess I'll have to let them borrow it. ;)

Is MadJack close by? You can ask Len about Scotties. He has a history with them. I believe they are among the lighter trailers and an easy pull.
Good luck with the family.

$1500 is high for this trailer.

You can find them for around a grand.

a 1974 is not a sought after collectible...

Go to the Scotty web site ( NSSO) and email Nancy (the site administrator) and she can give you a much better idea.

I got one for $1000 if you want it...

You live too far, but thanks for the offer.

The owner emailed me back with lots more pictures. It looks pretty good but there is a small section inside that would need to be replaced, where the a.c. is. I wouldn't want to offer more than $1000 but she does have someone else who wants to look at it. My sister is "supposed" to go look this weekend. We'll see.
