Tiny Trailer Wanted in Colorado- BOUGHT ONE!

Hi all! I've loved looking at all of the pictures of your fabulous trailers. It really makes me want one of my very own! So...

I'm really wanting one of the 10 foot or so travel trailers... the kind where the galley is inside, and the table folds into a bed. I'm not sure that we can fit two people (one who is 6'4") and two large dogs (one of whom isn't the HUGEST fan of being in a confined space with the other) into a true teardrop. We need it to be SMALL, though, since we want to tow it with our 1998 Subaru wagon (tow limit 2000 lbs with brakes, 1000 lbs without brakes).

Also, probably looking for a "fixer upper" due to price contraints (depending on price). We're fixing up our very small Victorian cottage, so no stranger to fixers! (or small spaces... the house is 800 sf and more space than we need!) And... way into vintage and restoring. (Hence our tiny cottage fixer!).

Anyone have one or know of one for sale within driving distance (4 or 5 hours, or more depending on which way as we can visit family in some directions) from the Denver area? Thanks!

Small trailer in Colorado

Check out my posts (RPH) We still have our Widget for sale. We have used it very little. I am 6'-3" tall and have found it very comfortable. It weighs in at 1200 lbs (almost loaded) and we pull it with a Toyoto Rav 4 (4 cyl) with no trouble at high altitude (over 9,000') with many hills. We also have a dog and there is room for her on the floor (although she really likes the foot of the bed).
There is a lot of information and photos in our posts. Check them out if for no reason other than to gather information.
If you are interested send a PM. We live in central Colorado maybe not too far from you.

RPH~ Thanks for seeing my request! That does look VERY nice. Unfortunately, it's a bit out of our price range; we probably aren't looking to spend more than $1500. I know we are going to need to put in a LOT of elbow grease and time to get anything that nice out of whatever we find! Good luck selling it.

Jennifer,

It looks like a Gem in the rough. A little elbow grease and your personal touch will have it looking like a Diamond before long! Can't wait to see pictures of your progress with it. Keep us posted and have fun!

Great Find

Congratulations, looks like you made a real find. We spent more than that for our chassis and wheels. We had hoped to find a good “fixer upper” when we started but were not so successful.
Keep in touch. Ask questions. There are a lot of good people on this forum with the right answers.
