old ScadAbout for sale

I got an email from John Bement today... I thought I'd share.

Mike...

This weekend, I was driving along the St. Croix river (between MN and WI,
just south of I-94 on the MN side) and I saw this old ScadAbout for sale in
a motorcycle dealer parking lot.

I don't know anything about this ScadAbout and I haven't called the owner's
phone number, but I thought your forum might be interested in a rather rare
trailer and find it a good home. Feel free to post it, if you like. It
definitely needs some work.

I went and looked at the ScadAbout today. The guy told me it was $1,500.00 when I talked to him on the phone last week. So with the Big Woody going off to Brooklyn I drove out to look at it.
This trailer is a real cutie , but will need some work. It has a real cute vintage looking galley with a pass through to the cabin. It has a nice matching copper-tone stove and icebox that were in pretty good condition. It also has a sink.
The cabin has been painted and sanded, so it is a little on the rough side. The doors have layers of sealant attempts around the edges. The last one being a tar-like substance ! You will know who owns that little cutie , by the black lines running across the back of their legs. Not to mention being glued to a picnic bench or lawn chair through out the weekend.
Someone may be able to use the trailer as-is, but It has been repaired badly in the past and needs some work . It sure had a great roof rack and lights, the profile was very cute too. Almost like a mini-shasta.
