Little Traveler for trade.....maybe

Postby FireLion » Tue Jun 23, 2009 10:40 am

Due to the stroke that I suffered last December, I am considering trading off my teardrop. The reason being that I cannot get in or out or sleep comfortably. What I want/need is a small TT or an A-frame, something that I can walk into. As I do not want to be without a camper, I am not willing to sell my tear outright. Pics are in my album. Anybody in the K.C. area wanna trade?

Hey FireLion, how did you mount the brackets for your umbrella? (screw length and supports?). I didn't see any close up shots in your album. Any risk or stress to the body of your tear on windy days when the umbrella sways?

Probably should have pm'ed you this question. But I hope you continue to recover from your stroke. The brain is an amazing and resilient thing. Keep retraining it!

The umbrella holder has been removed from the trailer. But, it was made from PVC pipe clamped to the side with pipe clamps. I screwed the clamps to the trailer using 3/4" sheet metal screws. I glued on a cap on the bottom and drilled holes for drainage. Then I simply placed the umbrella post into it. I used bungee cords to hold the umbrella down if it was windy.Image

Cool. Thanks for sharing. I'm big on shade umbrellas and awnings for my tear and camping.

If you ever get interested in an outright sale, consider listing a price. I don't have anything to trade (my hubby won't part with his driving RV) but I'm interested in a teeny trailer for myself. (we're separated, but friends; sometimes travelling together, but perhaps not always)d

I still have the Little Traveler for trade. As was said, I don't want to be without a trailer, so, if I happen to run across a TTT that I can buy, I may consider selling only to raise funds to buy the TTT. If I do decide to sell, considering the mods that I have done, the price would be around $4,750.
Thanks for your interest. (pics in my album)
