I would be glad to intoduce myself.
I live in NorthEast Oklahoma, am 59, and retired military.
I have been lurking on this site for years now. It was always my plan to convert my little Wells Cargo to a Tiny Camper. I am afraid that I am not as ambitious or as handy as my imagination thinks I am.
The trailer was bought for hauling my bike (with the windshield off) in when it had to be serviced. My dealer is over a hundred miles away. Not a long haul, but too far in the rain or bad weather.
As I get older the prospect of camping in a trailer is less appealing, and the bike doesn't get the miles on it these days either.
It is time to let someone else play with this toy.

I forgot to include the weight in my first post. It weighs just a little under a thousand pounds (1000#).

Thanks for looking.

I may be interested. What is the tongue weight? What is the hitch height?

I have never actually checked what the tongue weight is. Wells Cargo recommends 10-15% of the trailer weight as the tongue weight. The trailer is rated at 2990# gross. I believe that it is rated at that because most states only require a license at 3000#. The axle is rated at 3500#. Well Cargo says that the trailer weighs 990#. It pulls like it is that light.
I have never had any real weight in it. My bike only weighs 525#. The trailer has never hauled anything heavier.
When I have pulled other trailers it has always worked best to have just enough forward weight bias to put a moderate load on the rear suspension.
If you want to see it, I live in Bartlesville, OK.

Time to revive this ad. The trailer is still for sale. It is the same as when I first described it, and hasn't been used since then.

My mom is from B'ville and I have been there many times. :)

Yes, the hitch is designed to fit on a 2" ball.
The next time you come to see your mom you can swing over and check out the trailer!

this doesn't help, but i'd be interested if you lived closer! 8 hours is too far for me.

$2000 for a wells cargo is very fair!

I wish that you lived closer too!
You would like this trailer. It was made to fit inside a standard garage. If anyone would ask, I would tell them that it has less than 2000 miles on it, but it barely has 1000. It is a nice little trailer. I have had it for nine years, and only used it a few times. It is time to let someone have it who actually has a use for it. It has been sitting in the backyard by itself for too long.
Thanks for looking!
