Pleasant Valley Teardrops

A local dealer in the Northeast Ohio area contacted me about assisting him in liquidating his inventory. He has 4 teardrop trailers (1 - 5x10 and 3 - 5x8's) left over. They were purchased from the manufacturer in 2007 and have been stored at the same location (a car dealership in Akron, OH) for the past 2 ½ years. They have never been titled, towed, slept in or used for any purpose.

It’s exterior is 100% aluminum and interior is 100% birch wood
The interior is immaculate and looks like it just came off the production line today

The exterior has been weathered but it is nothing that a good bath and some Mother’s Polish/Wax can’t restore to new. The door clips and t-handles have some pitting but I will replace both at no cost.

Here is the manufacturer’s website which includes stock photos of the identical unit as well as the specs that I have listed below:
http://www.pleasantvalleytrailers.com/silver5x8.html

He is trying to get invoice out of them:
White 5x8 - $4650
Silver 5x8 - $4750
Yellow 5x8 Spirit - $5400
Silver 5x10 - $4995

(he also charges $133.50 for doc, title, temp tag)

Let me know if you have an interest and I'll get you some pics.

The Silver 5x8 is SOLD.
The White 5x8 is on eBay and was given a reserve on $4299.

Correction on the 5x8 Spirit (High line) and 5x10:
Yellow 5x8 - $5850 - from $8295
Silver 5x10 - $5650 - from $7995

The owner decided to let the silver and white ones go for below his stated invoice amounts, but now thinks he can make the loss on the yellow 5x8 and silver 5x10.

I believe that if push comes to shove, the sales manager could change the owner's mind. Feel free to make an offer on any - all he can tell me is no. If they all start moving out at the same time, money talks.

2nd update

5x8 Silver is SOLD
5x8 White is SOLD

The General Manager is feeling good with the money starting to roll in and I asked if he'd consider dropping his bottom line. While reluctant, I was able to get the following rates on the last two trailers:

5x8 Yellow Spirit - $5100
5x10 Silver - $4800

how "weathered" are the exteriors?

i would take a couple photos of the yellow trailer.

The yellow hardly seems weathered at all. The exterior is .32 anodized aluminum and after having the first two inspected at the manufacturer, I can say a hot soapy bath will restore them to probably 95% of their original luster. You may need mothers for the remainder.

pics to follow...

Why don't people Preview their post to be sure they work? Is it that they are in a hurry to hit the Submit Button?

i love the exterior color. that shade of yellow is our company color.

any idea why the yellow trailer is more expensive than the white one he already sold? does it have more installed options, etc?

I'm am going to reply. Gage those pics are great...you see the workmanship and especially the galley. This is all hand crafted. We know the product. We have the Route 66 Lil Traveler deluxe 5x10 by Pleasant Valley...their product is preferred by this couple over what we have seen from little guy, because of the galley among other little things....I cook all the time and it is ready to put the food and utensils into when you get it...wonderful. You won't go wrong with a Pleasant Valley Build. Ours is a 2008 and is RV certified. The 2008's were the first year they acquired that by changing a few thing around in design. Your getting closer and closer to our price aren't you? Maybe your wife wouldn't kill you for buying ours...lol lol Queenie Jeanne

as an FYI...and I'll post an announcement as well, I moved the manufacturing from Elkhart and have joined forces with Pleasant Valley.
Pleasant Valley is now the sole manufacturer of all Little Guys, whether the white fiberglass models, the RT or the Silver Shadows.
