Hi,

New to the forum here. Fun place! I'm just starting to look for a nice teardrop trailer. I passed on a nice Hunter last fall - sorry I did so now. Please drop me a line if you have something you are selling. Am willingn to travel to pick it up.

Thanks,

Tim Sarter

Tim,
This one just showed up on Ebay, the builder will take it as far south as Portland for no charge.

Tim,

Saw a couple vintage ones for sale at a meet in Newport Beach. You can see them on this page. http://www.nicksteardrop.com/vintage2005.htm. Look for the pictures with the for sale signs.

Nick.

Thanks for the tip on the Newport beach ones, but I nabbed the one that Dean told me about on E-bay. Exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks!

Yup, that was me. Hope I didn't jump the gun - I had not yet done a lot of reasearch. Seemed like a decent price for a nice trailer though. Tell me I did OK!

I think you got a great deal!!!!I bid on that one too, but you just took her home  Hope you have lots of fun I am sure you will!!!!!!!!
~Unfortunatly it was me whom got excited, jumped the gun and shot myself in the ass (bad word-oops)
I bid on a trailer (loction colorado) on ebay and assumed that the sleeping compartment width would be comparable to other trailers out there meaning 4 to 5 ft wide. As the width of a queen bed is 60 inches, a full/double is 54 inches and the little twin is 39 inches.
The trailer was advertised as "Two person travel trailer" Well i wrote to owners and asked some questions and they didn't get back to me. Like an egar child i put a bid down thinking of course other folks would see it too. After a couple of days being the only bidder I began wonder what was wrong with the picture. Upon re-reading the add there was still no explenation of the width of the sleeping area, it just said that it was 5"11 in length.
:o However it stated that there was a compartment for a generator that had a width of 40 inches.
Oh know - ( i know this thing wasn't perfect and needed some modifacation ) but it just couldn't be----- that the back compartment was the whole width of the trailer............... franticaly i emailed the people telling them that i needed to know because if the trailer was in fact 40 inches i didn't want the darn thing----that is 1 inch over a twin size mattress - talk about a tight squeeze for two.. :?
Finnaly they wrote back and indeed the width of sleeping compartment is 40- and guess who won the bid :( . hope you all are having a better day

~the false advertisement lady as i like to kindly refer to her as ~ wrote me back today and said that the one other bidder might be interested in it, and if so she has no problem with selling it to him however she did not fail to mention that I am liable for the trailer if he does not want it :worship: so it's up in the air and thanks so much for the other info I already spoke to him on the phone. You are too sweet thanks agin for thinking of me and knowing what it's like to have teardrop fever.

Tonya,
It would better serve your needs than mine, I was just looking for a quicker way to get into one for just this summer. I can be patient and wait until mine is built...
I hope all works out for you, keep me posted...
(I hope the one in Orangevale turns out to be a good find and the guy just doesn't know it's true worth, he said it was in good condition...)

And should you want to see a "freedom" contact me. I am in the LAX area and happy to show mine off. Right now is a good time since it just happens to be empty for cleaning purposes.
As Merlin has learned, I use it as a trailer when I travel and it is loaded to gunnels and it stays that way most of the time.
Plus I can show how strong the frame is after a rear-ender that hurt the rear-endee more than it did my Freedom.
