Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I just looked at a 1971 Eriba Puck for sale in the Hudson Valley region of NYState. I have decided to pass on it but if you are interest, please contact me and I will give you the information of the sellers.

The Puck is in decent shape, it really is, for living out on a lawn for a few years now. It needs exterior paint and on the inside it needs ceilng fabric, it could use new wall coverings and the I would replace the floor, but that's me. The molding in places could be replaced too. The fixures are all there in good to very good condition. The mice are just begining to move in The wiring looks good but I don't really inspect it too closely. And the roof vent frabic is completely shot and needs replacing. The underside looks pretty darn good too! Little if any rust. This trailer is ready to be restored and for the person with the knowledge, it can be done without too many problems since it is very solid in all the right places.

The seller wants it go to a good home, someone who is really interested in bringing it back to life. They stated at almost $5000 a few months ago and then they were down to $3500 about a month ago and now they are saying that they are flexible on the pricing (whatever that means).

We are in the Hudson Valley region [ 10 miles east of Hudson] and would give it a good home. That is what the seller wanted that we bought our teardrop from. we spent 9 months restoring it as we promised him we would. Sounds like this Puck is more than we would want to spend though, how low will they go.

I don't know about the price. I was thinking that the price was high and I am going to offer a price that doesn't force me to sell my vintage Scotty. But its not going to be $3500 much less than the orginal $5000.

Yep, I don't know what he thinks he has but an old (vintage) TTT with that much work needed is worth no more than $1000 tops. Once it's restored, we are then talking $3500, $5000 or even more. The guy has been watching to much TV.

I agree with the $1000 price point but I think the sellers really are dreaming bigger. And it would be a nice project but what scares me is that all your replacement parts are coming from overseas. That can get costly.

I also agree with Gage on price, but that relates to how bad anyone wants something. In my case it's an issue of "want" vs. "need". I would like to have one, but don't really need it, and don't have extra money to spend at this time, so I'm out of the picture. I think I saw replacement canvas on ebay, but it was not in the US. They came way down in price to the point where I can set it aside, dismantle it and work on it as I go.

condolences, in any case welcome to the world of Puck ownership. I've had mine for about a year and hope to soon be to the point of actually sleeping in it. It has been a battle to refurbish but I don't know if I would trade the experience for anything.
