Willys Jeep Pick Up Tow Vehicle

Looking for a Willys Jeep Pick Up.
I had a '56 way back when and would like to find another...
The model changed very little from '47-'61.
A lot of these pick ups were converted over to Chevy engines...
The one that I had many years ago had a straight six 235 Chevy, which I changed over to a 283.
Unlike the wagons of this era, the pick ups have a wider back axle... not all that popular with a lot of people because of tracking issues.
I'm not looking for one that has already been tricked out or chopped up... would just like to find one in working condition, preferably without a lot of major rust.
Motor isn't a big issue, but I'd I want one with the original type chassis... T-90 transmission, transfer case and wider rear axle.
I went to check one out down by Clearlake, but it was gone when I got there...
Found one down by Sacramento next to my neice's house, but the guy decided to keep it...
Just missed a nice one over by Redding.
I know mine is out there somewhere, just gotta find it.
Please, No Ebay auctions...

Please give me a heads up if you see or know of one not too far away from me...
Thanks.

Those are great old trucks. I had a 51 about 20 years ago. I sold it to a couple brothers who semi-restored it. It looked pretty good when they were done. It was a two wheel drive version. I just traded my 46 CJ2A to my dad so I would have room in the garage for my teardrop build. It needs a total rebuild, you could probably buy a couple new Libertys for what its going to cost.

Hi Dean
If you like old Willys you missed in Cazadero Calif this week end and open house at Willys America. The owner Paul Barry is in the business of finding, restoring and selling of Willys only from 1948 to 1964. People come from all over with there restored Willys each year, he has this show in July every year. If you want to check his site out it's at www.willysamerica.com. I go every year, I have a 1956 wagon still not running but some day.

WOW! Fun site for all us Willys lovers. I had a '46 Willys Jeep and loved it. Restored it from the ground up and would give my left you-know-what to have it back today. Oh well, so goes life. Thanks for the link.

I'm heading down to San Jose tomorrow to look at this one...
It just hit the internet and the guy has been getting lots of calls, but he agreed to hold it for me so I can look at in person.
It's a '51 with a Chevy 265 V-8 motor in it.
