Looking for a Teardrop or ????

Hey Folks,

I’m looking for at minimum, a 5 x 10 Teardrop arranged to be more of a hauler than a lodge (at least with the kids around!). The trailers primary purpose will be to ‘hide’ bikes / bags / tents / etc etc while traveling and most importantly function as an outdoor multi-day kitchen (yes looking for it all!). We are a family of 5 (3 kids under the age of 12) and actually enjoy sleeping in tents but really tire of hauling, setting up, tearing down, covering when not at the campsite etc our camping kitchen. Another end goal is an additional surface for a Yakima rack. At times we travel with 5 flat water kayaks which can be a PIA to load and unload from the top of our Excursion or Mini Countryman (yes they do fit!).

The key element for us is the kitchen set-up. We desire a system that allows efficient work through the use of counter space and cabinetry. We would like enough storage for dry foods, pots / pans / plates etc for an unencumbered 5 day trip. Goal>>> Open the back hatch and everything has a place and there is a place for everything. No need to move boxes to get to the PB and J!

We live in the Shenandoah Valley and can travel most Eastern states if one shows up. Also work takes me to the SF Bay Area and again if it's the right TD i can ship it home.

Thanks everyone!

5x10 slouchy a little off beat but it turns heads. The mini kitchen works well with the aid of a dutch oven table as a cooking center.

All beds are easily removable and its loaded with cabinets. It will be at the Crossroads of America Gathering with a for sale sign on it. (see my album for a boat load of gathering pics.)

Weight is guesstimated at 1200 - 1400 Lbs. has been towed by my 4 cylinder manual suzuki Esteem.

Has been used as a moving van on occasion. Goes complete ready to camp with coffee pot toaster oven hot plate combo and redneck hot water heater.

Asking $2800 but will talk !

Sounds like you need a tent on top of a kitchen. Bobhenry made a great kitchen all it needs is a tent.

schaney built one and actually sells the tents I think. Here is the url for his build.

With a first up you have a super deluxe kitchen. Have set it up right side left side and rear of "Barn to be wild" !
