SOLD

Now officially for sale is our 2008 Camp Inn 550 Ultra, with all options. We know there's a long wait for a new one, and camping season is fast approaching, so we're anxious to see if we can fund our larger accommodations...here are the details:

2008 550 Ultra SUV option
Stainless bumper
Air cond.
Furnace
Sun roof
AlCan cover
Stainless main table
Wood side table
Fridge
Jacks
Spare tires (donut & full-size)
Side tents (2)
Battery isolator
Backup lts.
Receiver hitch
Lifeline AGM battery (not factory)
City water/LP gas extension
Factory installed dual filament cabin lts. (same as galley lt.)
Stainless fenders

Interior is perfect, aluminum exterior is 8/10, showing wear from our adventures and willingness on my part to let the aluminum do its thing. I don't have time now to post pics, but may do so in the future. Anyway, hope this provides some more info on what we have for sale. $14,000/obo, and will deliver just about anywhere for gas.

Any interest, please email us at:

We have lots of pics available here:

Wouldn't it be easier to post a couple pictures of the trailer and the amount of money you need to sell it for to fund your new trailer?

If I knew what it looked like, and what you wanted, I might be inclined to write you and ask what your bottom line was, but if I have to write you and wait to see what it looks like, and if it is in my price range, I would probably move on to another ad...

Not trying to be mean, just what came to mind. :shake hands:

Posting a for sale ad implies we'll sell it if someone meets our price. I'm simply trying to find out if there's a market for late-model Camp Inn's. Really just looking for info like" it'll sell fast", or "not much market for used ones" or " mine sold in 2 days for..." , info like that.

Thanks for the input. Perhaps I should post this another forum to avoid confusion...

Cheers,
Tom

Cary at CI can give you the best answer about how long to sell, also Depends upon if yours has a furnace, AC, SUV or standard height, price point.

Current CI orders are out at least 6 months. CI are a great product, on the higher price point, so limits those who seek.

Hi Tom,

I fully understood your intent to simply determine if there was interest, and that you didn't really know yet if you wanted to sell.

But if a person were looking for a trailer, in general, and they could easily and quickly determine if they liked it and it was in their price range, they might be more inclined to give you an answer than if they had to spend a lot of time and effort just to get pictures and price.

If someone currently in the market knew the price, they could write you and ask to be placed on a list to be notified first if you decided to sell?

"Buyers waiting in line" could be a good thing!
I'm just throwing an opinion your way.

Good luck with whatever you choose, and your new one!

Rob

Well, when you decide you want to sale it. Let me know and I'll give you $500 for it sight unseen. I'll even come back there and pick it up.
PS: And I won't even kick the tires.
 Oh and there is always a demand for Camp-Inns, new or used. Just ask the Camp-Inn people. They'll even help you sale it.

Okay, in furtherance of the discussion...

2008 550 Ultra SUV option
Stainless bumper
Air cond.
Furnace
Sun roof
AlCan cover
Stainless main table
Wood side table
Fridge
Jacks
Spare tires (donut & full-size)
Side tents (2)
Battery isolator
Backup lts.
Receiver hitch
Lifeline AGM battery (not factory)
City water/LP gas extension
Factory installed dual filament cabin lts. (same as galley lt.)
Stainless fenders

Interior is perfect, aluminum exterior is 6-7/10, showing wear from our adventures and willingness on my part to let the aluminum do its thing. I don't have time now to post pics, but may do so in the future. Anyway, hope this provides some more info on what we might have for sale. Again, I'm not soliciting offers at this time, just looking for advice from those who might have constructive comments to offer. And if someone had $14k to offer today, I'd deliver just about anywhere...

Cheers,
Tom

So, this is NOT for sale, but just a general question?????

If it is not really for sale at this time, shouldn't it be posted somewhere else? Seems misleading to those who are looking to buy a teardrop.

I thought the original post was pretty self-explanatory, but in the interest of avoiding confusion and trying NOT to mislead, I've amended it accordingly...

Sorry, but that's not the best offer...

We'll be driving soon to Las Vegas, so I can deliver between Cincinnati and Vegas for minimal cost...

We camped with Tom & Debbie at The Balloons and Blues gathering in Madison Indiana a couple summers ago. This is a top of the line unit and has ALL the bells and whistles. Way , Way out of my $$$league$$$. But a beautiful head turning unit. It was pristene then as I am sure it is to this day. I do not know what a new unit costs today but this little trailer has it all.

It need a door bell added ! There is no place to knock if ya come visitin' :laughter:

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the kind words. I've changed the estimate of the condition of the exterior to 8/10, based on the advice of those who have seen the camper recently. Not one dent to be found, just some smudges and smears on the aluminum finish in various places. Probably the most noticeable blemishes are on the stainless fenders, where the road to Toroweep on the north rim of the Grand Canyon took its toll. Cary and Craig at Camp Inn both suggested that some emery paper and a little elbow grease would make it look close to new.

Cheers,
Tom
