I am in need of a title for a 1946 or 1947 KIT teardrop. It will be registered in TEXAS.

There is a company that advertises in "Old Cars Weekly" that they can get you a title for practically anything, including trailers. It is Broadway Title and their webpage is

might be able to buy a titled 46-47 basket case, just make sure there are no vin plates/ serial numbers.
