Hi (if you get this - things do not work here as I thought they would)

I'm interested (seriously, folks) if it's still available by the time I can
get everything straightened out here (South Carolina, at the moment).
I would be inclined to come pick it up myself (I've wanted to go see
Gettysburg for a long time; this sounds like as a good excuse as any).
