Sorry, not for sale

We bought this neat little trailer from Gaelen, and did a bunch of work to it to make it a great little camper. You can see most of that stuff here: http://tnttt.com/album_ ... r_id=11461

We have an opportunity to buy a slightly bigger vintage trailer, but given our finances, we would need to sell "Spot" first. $1500 wouldn't cover what we have into it, but for that price you would get an instantly usable tiny travel trailer!

Here's some of the stuff we did/added: completely rebuilt hubs, added spare (radial to match existing tires) and spare holder, added scissor jacks each corner, rebuilt right rear interior wood (all rotted out), completely re-wired for trailer lights, installed all new rear and marker lights, re-skinned entry door, installed new locks all around, keyed entry door and rear buckboard doors the same, built full size bed platform (3/4" oak plywood) inside with shelves to rear.

Very cool. It looks like you did a great job. The way the picture is taken, with the car and the house behind it, the trailer looks like a toy! Enjoy the hew trailer it sure is a neat one. :applause:

Great looking camper. I'd love to have it but have to sell something.
I'll make some copies and spread around.
Good job!

Does the bed convert into a table/ couch?

My wife has and 08 OBW (with tint and same color) so your pic is great to show her what the trailer looks like behind her car.

I would be very tempted to swap out to the Subaru bolt pattern.

The idea is to convert the bed to seats and a table, but that was a project planned for next spring! Seat/bed cushions are done. All the work I did on this ttt (and my wonderful wife who did the seat cushions we're using for the bed), I would not hesitate one minute to pull this baby coast-to-coast. It's oem weight was 655, and I don't think it's much more than that now. It tows like a dream, perfectly balanced and never a sway. Great little trailer, and if I don't sell it, more to come in the spring!

Thanks all,

Frank

Nothing NEEDS to be done. All the stuff that needed doing got done. Next year I plan on building seats on each side of a table. The cushions that make the bed are already cut to size for seats and backs. It's a full size bed, as that's all it will take.

I already lost the deal I was hoping to sell this for, so unless something else comes up, we'll hold onto this baby. We do love Spot, it's just that a '69 13' standee with a toilet came up I had 1st chance on, but it got sold. I thought there was a chance Spot would go quick, but that's okay. I appreciate all the responses!

Sorry to see your deal fell through. :(
I was thinking you might want to change your add.
Your going to have a lot of people looking at this add only to find your no longer selling.
A lot of hopes dashed.
Good luck on any future deals.

Sorry your other deal fell through but I know you'll have fun in Spot till something bigger comes along.

How is Gaelen doing? Haven't seen her post anything in awhile.

Yes, it was too bad Gaelen had to sell, but her doc ordered no more camping. She was great to us, letting us buy it over a few months as we came up with the cash. God bless her!

We have already had a great time with Spot. It has also been used as an overflow bedroom at home when the kids visit. We set it up on the front deck so the door is opposite the front door of the house by maybe 2 yards. It is a great tiny travel trailer!
