AT,
Just discovered the value of 'fully insulated'. I just made the west TX to Anchorage run pulling my 2000 Quicksilver - which is not at all insulated. Alberta and BC were no big, but further north than that, camping became less fun. Electric heaters can do a lot, but they can't change the fact that TD's bleed heat through the floor - the same floor you have to sleep on. It took a 4" thick air mattress, a wool and a mink blanket below me to stay relatively warm. Any advice? ...andy

Hey Andy, welcome to our little board...the first advice is to sell it and build your own :o ;) could you cut up some R-max and glue it in place on the bottom. You might find a commercial insulator and see if they do hi-density foam...sprayed directly to the bottom. Let see what else...how about some bubble/foil insulation either applied to the bottom or used as a pad inside...how about a foam back rug laid iinside or a couple of inch foam pad or the addition of a 12v bed warmer...just a few suggetions...I am sure you will get more

p.s. by the way we love pics and it sounds like you just had one heck of trip...got any pics you can share with us...would love to see 'em

Trade in your air mattress for a foam mattress. You'll lose a lot of heat thru an air mattress.
