Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I always pulled our Little Guy TD with our Honda...I sold the Little Guy early last year and now my wife wants to step up to a mini van, so I'm hoping to sell our Honda Element as well. I wanted to post this because I had several people at our gatherings inquire about our Honda.

Its a 2009 EX with 4WD and 25,000 miles. The color is called Omni Blue Pearl. I added several Honda accessories such as fog lights, running boards, heavy duty floor mats, trunk mat, rear seat covers, Yakima roof rack, add'l set of snow tires, and more.

We live in Towanda, IL and I'd like to get $19,000 for it.

We have an '05 Element that we love. Tow rating is 1500 lbs -- what did your Teardrop weigh? I'd love to have one but I'm concerned that the Element would either struggle to tow it or it would damage it. I'd want to take it up to the Sierra here in California so that is my concern.

I don't remember what our trailer weighed, but the Element towed it fine. If I was driving in to a heavy wind it would down-shift some, but on a nice regular weather day it towed the tear without any laboring.

Freddy, you shouldn''t have any problem towing a Teardrop. I have towed mine and the weight hasn't been any problem. Many others tow bigger than the Tear with theirs. Good Luck.

Sorry to see your Element go. We are in our 2nd. We love them. It should sell pretty quick as people are starting to look for those now that Honda has quit making them.

Freddy, like Bob said, it won't be a problem. Over on the Honda Element Owners Forum, people talk about towing 2000lb regularly, and a fellow just towed a 3000lb car and dolly with out any problem. (would not want to do that myself) I just ordered a cargo trailer that I will tow with mine. Hope that helps.
