Looking for a 5x9 or 5x10 used Teardrop

Postby Erdahl » Tue May 08, 2012 12:17 pm

Currently looking for a 5x9 or 5x10 used Teardrop that is road ready. I am located in Southern California but am willing to to consider teardrops in surrounding states. Please contact me if you know of a teardrop for sale. Erin (562) 355-5110.

I used search tempest and searched withing 300 miles of Irvine and got quite a few hits, some good, some not so much.

Questions that can help you look
Doors, how many? One sounds OK until you have to crawl over someone to go out in the night or get up in the morning.
Price - now this can be all over the place
what style do you want? is a factory built OK, or are you looking for something a little off the path?
Is a sink a deal breaker? Not for me I would rather not have one, but it is a good thing to think about
sleeping surface - foam can cost a couple of hundred bucks so think about that as part of the cost if that is what you are looking for
Power, do you need it? Any CPAP users? if so you need to think about how you will hook that thing up in the night I have had a tear without power, oh twice now, I went without for about as long as it took change it, but some people really don't care
Galley - Is a stove in there important to you? I cook bacon, so no way am I running my stove inside, I put my stove on a table outside the galley, again, your mileage may vary, think about your needs

Good luck!

I was lucky enough to buy BillNut's teardrop trailer. I am not a computer person (my daughter is typing this for me), but would really love to connect with other people in southern california that have teardrops - please feel free to call me (562) 355-5110 if you have any great information that you would like to share. I do read through the posts, but don't post any replies unless I have my daughters help. Thank you so much to Bill and his wife for the wonderful teardrop and great camping equipment.

We have a 2011 6-wide platform Little Guy Teardrop for sale. It has a king sized bed mattress, sink, stove, battery power package, spare tire, screens, privacy shades, locks, rear receiver, fantastic fan/vent and unused cover. It is almost like new. We only used it for a few trips and decided to go bigger. It's listed on Craig's list for Las Vegas, NV, if you want to see pics. Let us know if you're interested.

$7700 is way too much for a used Lil' Guy. Just my opinion.
