I built a teardrop for someone and he backed out.

It could be a great start for a teardrop camper.

~Custom Handcrafted Teardrop Utility, Cargo, or Camping trailer
~Lightweight, easy to tow.
~It is 8 foot long, 4 foot wide, 4 foot tall
~Sides are 3/4 cabinet grade plywood sealed on both sides
~Skin is .032 aluminum with a factory applied white finish
~All stainless steel screws: will not tarnish or rust
~Interior is sealed with spar polyurethane.
~Has full ceiling installed.
~front bulkhead(front wall of trailer) is solid 1.5 wood to prevent any shifting load damaging the front of the trailer
~Interior lighting is 12v powered by the tail light circuit when plugged into tow vehicle
~2000 lb axle and tongue has a 2" ball coupler.
~Everything is new and has not been titled or tagged but have all of the appropriate paperwork to do so.
~Location is 10 miles south of Atlanta Georgia
~The trailer is for local pickups only

I currently have it listed on Ebay item 4576281175

I still have my new Teardrop/Cargo trailer for sale. It has about 2 miles on it. ( just a test run down the Interstate. )

I really need to get it out of my driveway. I lowered the price to $1300. I have over $1000 in it.

I anyone interested? It would be a great start for a teardrop camper.

The pictures are still on EBay

Do you still have this shell for sale?

I looked at the ebay photos... am I right - no doors, no insulation, weighs about 700 lb right now? And what about the tires?

I would be very very interested right now but don't have quite that much cash on me!! And was hoping to go to the So. Fall Crawl in NC next weekend :( but would rather teardrop than tent camp again.

PM me please... !!! ;)

The folks on ebay seem to think it's only worth $1000.

It's similar to what Len does on his bare bones model. Anyone remember what Len wants for that?

What people think on Ebay is not necessarily what the item is worth.

I have just over $1000 in it. Why should I give it away?

My thoughts: If I was going to build a camper, I would build it, not start with someone else's shell..... If I was going to buy a camper, it would have to be at least a basic camper with windows, doors, some basic (appealing) type of shelving or cabinetry.

You are in the never-never land in the middle, and it appeals to a very small portion of the market. My take is if you can't sell it, you have to get it up to where people can see it as a camper with some more work. Or, try to sell it as an enclosed motorcyle/atv hauler.... in short, in present state, you will have to give people ideas of what it can be used for.... my short-sighted opinion on things, as I've never sold anything like this.

I dunno - For my baby toy-box I decided to start with an existing enclosed trailer as the starting material. DOES simplify things a lot.

I'd also point out that while I think the trailer would work as an ATV hauler - it really wouldn't be able to handle a motorcycle (at least not anything larger than a very small scooter). At 4' tall, you might be able to get the bike in if you removed the mirrors - but the tail of the bike would likely still be too tall to fit under the hatch.
