1942 Tourette Teardrop
This is an original 1942 Tourette Teardrop Trailer. This trailer is ready for the road. It has a comfortable bed in the front section with a shelf and cabinets for storage. It also has electric outlets, interior light and a propane heater to keep you warm. There are two doors with windows for ventilation. In the rear is a fully functioning kitchen, ok no sink, but it does have a cast iron three burner stove, a storage bin (which used to be the ice box back in the day and probably could still be if you wanted to use dry ice) and under the stove is a draw which is also used for storage like your plates and silverware. Next to that is the original lead draw water storage, which we no longer use, but have kept it for it’s originality. The aluminum frame is in great condition except a few minor dings from wear and tear. The base is still good but might be to be replaced down the road. All taillights and license plate lights work and connect to your vehicle at the hitch, which is also where you hook up your electricity and propane. The kitchen area also has side panels for wind protection along with a 8 foot canopy that stretches off the back of the teardrop for shade. This camper is great. We have traveled many places with it and find that it gets a lot of stares and questions. This teardrop camper is fun, you will have wonderful journeys and adventures in it. This teardrop is a piece of Americana History as there is one in the Smithsonian. Serious inquiries only. Please call with any questions Ted 727-525-7464. We have newer pictures if you would like. This is being listed locally on craigslist too.5840558404

Hi,

Do you only offer the sales price to serious inquiries?
I'm not sure how serious I might be, it depends on what I can afford.
My first teardrop sighting, and cause of my interest in teardrops was seeing a Tourette.

Rob, if you go to Tampa Craigslist, you can see that he is asking $3000 for it and there are some more pics. It looks good!
