Home built teardrop for sale 7000 OBO in Amarillo Texas

The total length of the trailer is around 5'x16' and the teardrop is 5'x11'. (Following from original builder)This teardrop is literally one of a kind. My father in law and I designed and built it around plans that we acquired online. We added a storage compartment between the galley and cabin. After visiting with other teardrop owners, I'm really happy that we decided to do that. To my knowledge, it's the only one of its kind because of the storage area. Before finishing the galley, I weighed it and it came in just under 1400lbs. With the galley completed and the trailer loaded, I'm thinking it weighs around 1800lbs. The top and sides are insulated with 1.5" Styrofoam insulation. The sides of the trailer are half inch plywood skinned with .040 aluminium. It has a 2000lb brake axle on it. I never hooked up the brakes because it's not all that heavy and my truck didn't have a problem stopping. It has a seven pin plug. It has reverse lights on the sides and back. They work great! I have never had a problem backing into campsite after dark. I connected the deep cycle battery to the trailer plug so that it will charge while towing. All of the lights I put on the trailer are LED's. I used LED's in the cabin, storage compartment, and galley because they draw very little juice from the battery. There is an AM/FM CD player in the cabin with an auxiliary input so you can plug your laptop or MP3 player in and listen to it through the speaker in the cabin and/or galley. The speakers in the cabin are 5.25". The ones in the galley are 6.5" components. There is a 12 volt and a 110 volt outlet in the cabin. This camper ready to camp has over 1500 dollars worth of camping equipment in it. You can literally head out the day you get it and set up camp.
