For sale is the screen/tent flap that I made last year for the rear opening of our cargo trailer. It is a woodland camo pattern, medium weight fabric which has had Scotchguard applied. There are two layers. The inner layer is a screen (I used the screen material from the screens they sell for garage doors), and the outer layer is solid fabric which can be rolled up and tied out of the way like the flap on a tent. The top and sides are attached to the inner aluminum trim of the trailer by velcro, which holds it securely. This is one solid piece, no zippers or doors. The bottom is a section of fabric which can be held down by a piece of wood or anything else you choose. At one point, we even lifted part of the bottom up to accommodate our air conditioner, although it was necessary to stuff some extra material around it to obtain a seal. Our Horton cargo trailer is 7 feet wide by 6-1/2 feet tall, so I expect that this would work for any comparable trailer of the same dimensions. We have since built a back wall into our trailer, so are no longer able to use this piece, but it served its purpose well.
You can see pictures below, as well as how we held the cargo doors open with PVC inserted into closet rod holders, and bungees pulling inward for counter tension. The third picture shows the outer flap rolled up, and the screen in place, although it is hard to see the screen in the picture. I am asking $100. The easiest way to reach me with questions or if you're interested is to send me an e-mail at
[email protected]. I honestly don't know if this would work on a trailer with a drop down rear door, but if the dimensions are the same and you have a flat surface that will accept Velcro at the sides and top, it probably would.
