I designed this trailer off the MikenChell plans online. I drew it up in AutoCAD and modeled it in Inventor before I started building. The complex shapes were all cut out on a CNC so there are no janky cut lines on this thing. It is styled after a traditional Benroy teardrop but we changed the usual galley kitchen design for a simple storage area to give more interior space. It feels great to camp in this thing! We have fit 4 adults comfortably inside while playing cards in the middle! It has plenty of storage, a Queen size 4" foam mattress w/ 1.5" memory foam topper, custom 28" x 36" doors on both sides, crank out windows, roof vent, 12V DC and 110V AC wiring, 2500# axle, full aluminum exterior skin, interior storage cabinets, and much more! I will include the pictures that document the entire build process.
I spared no expense and skipped no steps in building this thing. All wood joints are glued with polyurethane construction adhesive and all exterior joints and seams are sealed with Sikaflex 30 year roofing sealant!
This trailer is very light! You can move it around the driveway or campsite with one hand and no registration is needed (in Utah anyway)!
