We are finally letting go of our woody trailer. We own Sierra Madre Teardrop Trailers and this has been our trailer for the last 3 years since it was made new in 2011. The trailer is a 5x10 and has a queen bed as well as a bunk bed with a chalk board up top for the kids, it's perfect for a small family. When I built this trailer I wanted to make it as old school looking as possible with a few modern perks like self closing slam resistant drawer boxes, but that's about as modern as it gets for this trailer, the rest is made for camping, no 110 power or fan, Although they could be added if you like, but just an old school trailer made for old school style camping. The chassis is 3/16 steel channel with a torsion axle and 14" smoothy style wheels. The exterior is walnut wood that has been stained and sprayed with waterproof lacquer. It has 12v lights inside and in the galley with a deep cell marine battery for power that is stored in a locking metal tongue box up front. The fenders are of an old 30's pick up truck with matching old school tailights. Everything on this trailer was hand made by Matt at sierra madre teardrop trailers and it is truly a one off one of a kind. It has been used so it shows slight signs of wear but really it gives this new old looking trailer just the right look as far as having a little distressing. Feel free to contact me with any questions I'm happy to help. Have a blessed day!
