Recently completed 5' wide teardrop trailer with insulated cabin walls, roof and floor on a 1/8” wall rectangular steel tube frame trailer. Cabin exterior wrapped in fiberglass cloth & encapsulated in epoxy resin for long term moisture protection and strength; roof/front to walls and walls to floor seams fully FRP wrapped and faired for maximum protection from water and rot. Dexter Torqueflex axle with drum brakes, spare tire, gas struts, fantastic fan, 120VAC/12 VDC with both types of outlets in cabin and galley, deep cycle battery, Genius battery charger, USCG approved/UL1426 marine wire, Blue Sea Systems DC fusebox and 2-pole AC breaker, side tent anchor points on trailer. This is a very well built trailer with much attention to the details that will make it resist the elements. $5,200. Titled and registered in Florida, trailer is located in Tallahassee.

Price reduced to $4800 which is less than the materials cost.

BTW: If you build a trailer keep ALL of the material receipts. In Florida, according to the DMV person who administered the title for this trailer, if you don't have them the you'll have to present your case to a local judge and convince him/her that it wasn't built from stolen materials. You can get by absent some of the small incedential receipts (we had virtually all of them though) but if you're missing them for the wheels, axle, frame, hitch, lights, lumber, windows, hardware , electric gear and such she assured me it would have to go in front of a judge; and no guarantee as to the outcome. I suggest a box or bucket file; the instant you get a receipt home, toss it in. Suffice it to say, we know what the materials to build this trailer cost.

Cheers,
John

It's getting to be camping weather so if interested in a very nice Ben Roy give me a shout. You can't build this trailer, this way, for this price.
